Nice travelogue, chevy_lover. A quick question - how's the parking in Hotel Bala?

I read in a few reviews that the parking area is small. I'm planning on a trip during the Sankranti holidays to Kodai.

Hey SDP, thanks for the appreciation.

Hotel Bala has ample parking space. They can accommodate even tempo travellers and SUVs. A Tata 407 comes inside daily to fill in drinking water. When we were there, there were atleast 4 - 5 SUVs and about 4 smaller cars parked inside.

One word of caution. You need to be very careful and listen carefully to the guard's instructions, when you take your vehicle out of the parking. Ask the guard to tap your car's glass, when he wants you to stop. He has a habit of yelling "Shtaaaaaaaaaaap". It may not be very effective!

Oh yes! That bear is the biggest we have ever seen! He was over 8 feet tall and had such a luxurious fur coat! But he was a sweet, gentle giant!

What happens when three to four months pass by after our previous road trip?

What happens when the mercury touches 40 degree C and the life in the city becomes so monotonous?

What happens when wanderlust takes over our senses completely?

What happens when we get an irresistible urge to stretch our legs and let our Chevy zoom on the NH?

What happens when our SONY begs us for some exercise?

The answer to all these questions is only one! It is time for us to do another road trip!!!

And that is exactly what we did. We embarked on a week long, 3600 kilometre road trip to the south!

We had been planning for this trip, right from the day we returned from our 'Incredible road trip to Udaipur'! We simply cannot resist the urge to drive away for a vacation every 3 - 4 months and when the opportunity knocked once, we welcomed it with both hands and a big grin!

I wish to take all my dear Team BHPians along with us, as we start the second part of our incredible travel series to the south, shortly!

I do not wish to start another thread, as we visited almost all the same cities and there is nothing much left to explain and narrate!

There are some stunning pics coming up from new locations! Each pic, a brand new one and unseen!

Stay glued and watch this thread for more!!!
