Guys, thanks a lot for sitting through this. Hope you all liked the pics, though they hardly do any justice to the beauty of the place. And thanks for all the compliments. Do ping me anytime for any info. Will be glad to help.

Everytime I see this thread, I am not able to take my eyes off the picture that has the Windmill just on top of the Swift
If the swift was little straight without sliding to the right, then it would have been a perfect fit I guess. Probably a call for Photoshop experts.

Unfortunately, I can't read/speak Tam. My only grievance throughout the trip was finding 90% of the sign boards on a NH written in Tamil. Same goes with the temple board as well. The only thing in english was 1008. If not, I wouldn't have know that as well .

Swift analysis: Beautiful car to drive in ghats and single lane highways where speed requirements are around 100 kmph. A useless car on 4-lane highways like the Krishnagiri route. Bloody thing wont pull after 130 at all.Missed my baleno a lot. Drive of 550 kms one way took us almost 12 hrs. Those visiting Munnar should not hope to make it 8-9 hrs. Often in a hurry to get there one misses out on a lot of beautiful scenes.

was the flash on while taking the pictures? because some pictures are dull.

what was the total cost involved for the whole trip and what mileage you got in your swift VDI?

I heard that swift VDI can do 150-160?

No Prbs. I am sure our other members will be able to identify this.

OT:
Agreed. They kept talking about Tamil, Tamil & Tamil for Donkey years and almost stopped Hindi entering into the state
Thats one big hurdle I face when I move to other states. Hope the current generation overcomes this.

This seems to be taken on a bridge, the rocks and falls being below that bridge, This is my guess. Quite confusing for the eye's , good capture none the less.

Not sure of this. My swift VDi easily goes till 160 and it rips in the ghats. I own Swift VDi and Baleno. I enjoy drving Swift for its turbo and top speed in 5th gear. In baleno I have to be in 4th gear to achieve the top speed which is heavy on pocket.

Rahul, How come stock wheels in Swift? When are the Pete's, the Alloys, the 195s (Neovas, Yokos) adding to the car?

I think Krishnagiri - Hosur is uphill drive and all the cars top speeds do get affected (unlike ripping Hosur - Krishnagiri downhill). I guess 130kmph in the return is fine.
