This is the Largest Tulip Festival in the U.S. — With Tens of Millions of Blooms Set in a Verdant Valley. Skagit Valley in northwestern Washington is home to tens of millions of tulips.
Skagit Valley Tulips fields are nestled in a valley surrounded by the cascade mountain ranges.
I was looking for 2 things -
1. Peak bloom time
2. And, nice weather to make a visit to this festival which is not far from home-
It is exactly a 1-hour drive from home.
We visited last weekend
( April 19th, 2025) and being a Saturday and sunny weather, it was jam-packed ( at-least 5000 cars in the parking lot) just for this one farm..Whew!!.
At, $25 bucks a pop, imagine the revenue this farm is making in 30-days of festival.
There must be at least 20-30 similar farms growing bulbs and out of them, Roozengarde is the most popular farm with over 7-acres of tulip fields and we generally visit them as its an expensive affair to visit more than 1 even though we got tempted many times as all other farms as all are within a 10-mile radius.
We spent about 3-hours and the weather was perfect. It was pleasant (10C) and sunny which made walking around quite enjoyable. Once we got our heart's content, we bought a few dozen tulips to decorate the home.
Nothing else much to say, hope you enjoy this colorful bonanza…Cheers to the beautiful tulips of Washington!!!
