Cherry Blossoms of 2025

Sorry for sounding like a beaten up record but, the beauty of Washington is inexplainable. One season passes and another one comes up and along with it it brings some amazing beauty from the nature.

We visit UDUB (University of Washington Campus) in Downtown Seattle every year to witness the glorious Cherry Blossoms in the college campus. I thought with my work related travels, I missed it this time as they bloom for very short time 3-4 weeks at most.

Cherry Blossoms happen only in 2 locations in entire US- Washington D.C and Seattle, Washington as far as I know. Please correct me if I'm wrong. These trees are a gift or goodwill from Japan to the US.

I have been to the D.C Cherry Blossom Festival which is nice but, is no comparison to the one that we have here in Seattle which is absolutely marvelous as it's a QUAD (4 dimensional courtyard) in the middle of UDUB (University of Washington Campus which is located in downtown Seattle.

I always dread going to UDUB each year as it's a traffic nightmare and finding parking is a major issue as the whole wide world is here to witness this amazing yearly phenomena. It took me an hour to find a parking spot and paid $6/hour X 2 hours just to be safe as there was a bit of walking to reach the QUAD.

As expected, the atmosphere was loud, lively and boisterous to some extent as the weather was sunny and everyone was camping out in the garden and enjoying the beautiful flowers.

For the first time, I saw "Blue" colored Cherry Blossoms. Has anyone seen it before? If yes, do share your experience along with pictures.

P.S : I'm also sharing some unrelated pictures but, of Cherry Blossoms when I was in Seattle earlier in the week for a meeting. I stumbled upon a beautiful street and had to park my Bimmer and take some pictures. It was simply fabulous. All pictures from my iPhone 16 Promax.

UDUB Campus- University of Washington, Seattle. This college is known for their rowing scholarships. This college as the No.1 Rowing Team in the US.

A different day stumbled upon a pretty street in downtown Seattle with Cherry Blossoms. So a few pics with my Beast.


This was a weekend earlier when I was in Seattle on some work stumbled upon this hilly, steep and gorgeous street lined up with Cherry Blossom trees.



My favorite picture of that particular day. Look at the reflection on the bonnet.



This street is super inclined and had great views going downhill.

Awesome pics. Few weeks back when I was in Seattle, some of the trees had started to bloom, and my son was saying the skies need to clear before they all bloom and look super awesome. Now, I know what he meant. Thanks for sharing.

Your welcome. People who live here have only one thing to do which is just being in awe of the endless scenery that we are blessed to live in and enjoy.

I tell my friends in India that scenery for us starts here in Seattle right from our "doorstep". For example, right outside home, I see the face of a snow capped mountain each and every day.

Haha! True that. We are not lucky as you to get permanent sunshine. We have to live with cloudy and gloomy weather most part of the year.

When the sun comes out in Seattle, it's the most gorgeous place on earth.

Here is another video that I missed sharing earlier which is driving through a hilly road with cherry blossoms lined up. ( At a time when it's not fully bloomed), now it must be pink and at peak bloom.
