Re: Unscheduled visit to Leh in a Toyota Innova Crysta

Sir what a motivating travelogue. All of us who have "been there done that" know that what a challenge it is, to be driving nearly unplanned in this beautiful but hostile terrain, that too with family and without digital navigation support. Also, constantly driving each day for nearly 1000 kms on national/State highways is no less a feat and requires one to be absolutely physically fit. Hats off to you for this unscheduled trip to Leh and a very simple but mesmerizing travelogue. Waiting to see much more such travelogues from you. Regards

I am 63 also going on to 64 and admire your enthusiasm and love for life to do a trip like this (that too without a driver). I would be dead scared driving on the bad roads and salute your bravery and thrill for life. Keep going the way you are - and remember that you are only as old as you feel! Kudos!

Re: Unscheduled visit to Leh in a Toyota Innova Crysta

This is my first post on team bhp. I am an avid reader on the forum from at least 15 years(maybe more). I am mighty impressed with you taking such long trips with your wife and daughter. Hats off to you. I wish you many more trips and many more years of joy as long as your health allows.

Seems like a very fun and enthusiastic trip. Which month did you undertake this journey? Asking as I have been thinking of visiting these destinations, which month would be best, based on your experience as you have been to these places previously as well.

Re: Unscheduled visit to Leh in a Toyota Innova Crysta

Excellent write up. I travelled along the same route but I started from Mysore with a day/two difference. This was my first North trip. We covered Siachen Base point but skipped Amritsar.

Your energy and enthusiasm at 60+ along with your differently abled daughter is very motivating. Travelling unplanned is another big thing which you pulled it off. Hats off to you.

Please read my story if you get a chance.

Sir, hats off to you for being such an inspiration for us. Am sure that these trips makes your family feel so refreshed and happy to see around our beautiful landscape when the general crowd spends time on gadgets. Truly motivating, love to hear more!! Happy motoring.

Truly Inspiring. Did you face any issue in the snow with the Crysta?
