Vlogger travels from Karnataka to USA in a Mahindra Scorpio-N

This is not my travelogue but an amazing journey by an individual from KA to US in a brand new Mahindra ScorpioN. I have seen many do road trip to Europe but not to North America, that too in a ScorpioN which has almost nil presence in Europe and US/Canada. It's nice to see a KA21 ScorpioN in Times Square with Indian flag .

I have seen this car in person and appeared stock. Videos are nice and has highlighted some of his difficulties encountered. While he did face some minor issues with car, its amazing the car making to US without major hiccups. I have not followed in detail but do go through vlogs when time permits and found it nice. The individual is also promoting Indian tourism which is a nice initiative.

Note: I am no way related to the vlogger nor I know him in person, thought of sharing here as I did not see any related threads.

What is totally commendable is the series of videos that he has taken the trouble to shoot, edit, process and post.
Apart from the driving adventure itself, this video production work involves a massive effort.

Re: Vlogger travels from Karnataka to USA in a Mahindra Scorpio-N

I recently saw this blogger on my Instagram feed, all is well touring the world and exploring new places. From time to time he kept asking Mahindra&Mahindra for some attention and some coverage of his tours saying that he is doing this to promote Indian tourism and Indian products. No one from the Government asked him to do it nor did Mahindra management ask him to promote their product. Dropping a link to one his reels where outright begs M&M to sponsor and partner with him.

Adventures like these are done on one's will and own accord, good to see M&M did not fall for this and give in to his antics

You are right, adventures are done on one's will and own accord. No one from the government or Mahindra asked him to do this.
However, there is no harm in asking. There have been instances of world tours etc. sponsored by the car/bike company on which it is being done.
He is doing his bit by asking, they have the option to say yes or no. Though his approach should've been better, he is not wrong in asking. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take!
Cheers

No one is interested in Novices asking for sponsorship. At least not till they become recognized faces. Another issue comes up is when every Tom, Dick and Harry opts for sponsored adventures.
Some years ago, some young bikers performed marvelous stunts on bike around India Gate in front of Media. When asked what they expect in future, they asked for a Job in Police. Had they got their dream job, we would have seen everybody performing on bikes.

Re: Vlogger travels from Karnataka to USA in a Mahindra Scorpio-N

I believe there are many more globe trotters on road from India who has trodden this adventorous route.

I remember two persons, Mr. Suresh Joseph who after retiring from his railways job, drove from Kochi to London Solo and also participated in the great mongolian rally and made some Limca records too. I am not sure if he has his youtube channel, but here is a short glimpse of this traveller. Mr. Joseph was not sponsored (nor did he ask for one) from the manufacturers of the car he drove.

He has travelled to 52 countries on five continents since 2010. He is the first man on the planet to drive on the four longest highways of the world and has also authored eight books.

Then there is another friend of mine, Deepak Kamath who rode his Motorcycle all over the world, From Arctic to Antarctic and many more. I believe Mr. Kamath was sponsored by Bajaj for the Bajaj Dominar Odyssey from Arctic to Antarctic.

A peek into Deepak Kamath's ride across the 7 Continents. 7 Miles on the 7th Continent

There are many such adventurers from India who have traversed this path but not many know them.

IIRC, he drove Kochi to London with Malayalam film director Lal Jose and auto journalist Baiju N Nair in an old gen Ford Endeavour. Baiju has written a book about it as well as there is a series of videos on his youtube channel.

Yes. However, the trip that started off on June 16, 2014 from Kochi with much fan fare later made news for wrong reasons. Apparently on 39th day, team member, Mr. Baiju decided to part ways and travel separately. .. and yes, that Kochi to London was not a solo trip, but later trips were solo trips.

Thereafter Mr. Suresh Joseph decided to travel solo in all his further adventure trips (Both domestic and international) which numbered about 12 in total.

I had met Mr. Suresh Joseph in Kochi when we both were attending a auto enthusiasts group meet sometime in 2018-2019. He has written some books too about his travel escapades.
