One thing I would like to mention here; Goa roads are one of the best roads I have driven on in recent time. The bridge between the North and South Goa is beautiful, especially at night. Forgot the name of the bridge. Manohar Bridge I guess.

I wanted to take the same route to Pune via Amboli Ghat but Google has its own brain and suggested me to take the Goa - Bombay highway and then a right turn at about 200km to Anuskara Ghat. so the new route is
Goa-Anuskara Ghat-Karad-Satara-Pune.

Thanks...
There are two new bridges, both in direction of North/South
1) Over Mandovi river, and bypassing Panjim towards South Goa is the Atal Setu.
2) Over the Zuari river, is the Manohar Setu.

Lots of people taking the new route due to construction work on the Pune-Bangalore highway and condition of the Amboli and other ghats.

I would like to ask which route will you suggest for traveling to Goa - Via Amboli Ghat (one for onward journey) or the one suggested by Google on return?
Sorry for the delayed response @rusticadventure,

I suggest taking Anuskara Ghat (the one suggested by Google). It is a beautiful road with scenic views.

Don't miss the Misalkar on the way

No. I stayed at Royal Agonda. It is around 2 Km from Agonda Serenity. Serenity is also a perfect place with cottages.
