Travelogues on Bylakuppe and Coorg already exists aplenty.
Rave reviews abound on these locations, and Bylakuppe in Mysore district is famously known as Little Tibet in South India, where as Coorg is glorified as Scotland of India and also as the Kashmir of South India.
Therefore, this writeup would be crisp and void of usual route, distance, mileage, hotel and accommodation details.
This narration is mainly to bring to the forelight couple of lesser known monasteries and temples which are relatively less written about, and thus less travelled, but nonetheless magnificent places.
People who have an inclination towards architecture, religion, history, gardening, painting, photography, nature, animals & birds would definitely relish visiting these obscure places alongside the more popular ones.
One may add below Monasteries to visit alongside the usual Namdroling Golden Temple in Bylakuppe:
Tashi Lhunpo
Sera Jey
Shree Omkareshwara Temple, which around 1km away from the touristy Raja's Seat in Madikeri, and Padi Sri Igguthappa Devasthana near Kakkabe are worthy additions to the itinerary if visiting Coorg.
Will let the pictures takeover now:
