Bengaluru - Arunchal Roadtrip | 2+ weeks in a Fortuner

For quite some years now, we having been doing road trips. With kids however we realized we cannot do road trips the same way we used to do earlier. In 2022 we were planning for a road trip, my younger kid was yet to complete 2(elder one was 5) and were not sure if kid can endure long distances. Northeast was under consideration, due to distance and kids age we decided to do Uttarakhand circuit. And instead of driving all the way from Bangalore, we flew to Delhi and then rented a self-drive car (Creta), drove from Mussoorie- Auli-Ranikhet-Rishikesh and few more places. Returned to Delhi by including Amritsar. We had covered close to 3K KM’s which gave us confidence and idea on planning trip with little ones.Come 2023 we were sure of doing roadtrip from Bangalore and had shortlisted Sikkim and Arunachal. While Sikkim was easier and would comfortably suit within 17-18 days leave, we had in hand, northeast was always a dream. After weeks of planning, finally shortlisted a plan. Thanks to friends, tbhpians who helped in refining and finalizing the plan.

While we did not have concrete plan for return journey and were keen on taking the same route back (visiting Vizag), made some changes last minute and decided to drive via Varanasi-Nagpur. During our Uttarakand trip, we realized 8-9 days on same terrain gets boring due to which we ended up driving to Amritsar for a change. So, we repeated same and ended up driving via Varanasi. Below is the itinerary and plan we finally did:

The circuit

The car for our trip

Bengaluru - Arunchal Roadtrip | 2+ weeks in a Fortuner-mangaldoi_tea.jpg

Day 1: Bangalore-Rajahmundry

We started from home at 4:00 AM and hit Tirupati highway in no time. Had packed sandwich for breakfast and Parathas for lunch which helped us in saving some time. Kids slept until we stopped for breakfast somewhere post Tirupati. Reached Rajahmundry by around 4:00 PM and checked in at Anand Regency which we found first while entering the city. Checked-in, freshened up and took a rickshaw to Godavari ghat. We spent some time at banks of river Godavari and returned back post sunset. Did some local shopping and back to hotel by 7 pm. Had dinner at hotel which was decent.

Hotel and Road

Hotel Anand Regency was decent and within city limits and was clean. Comfortable beds, spacious room. Since we kept most of our luggage in car, secure parking was important which the hotel had.
We took the usual Bangalore-Tirupati Road, which is in fantastic shape. One can easily do Tirupati in 3-4 hours. Tirupati to Nellore had some bad patches though did not have much issue with Fortuner. I driven via same road, 4-5 months before while visiting Vijayawada. Nellore- Rajahmundry was breeze, mostly 6 lanes as I recall.

Beautiful Godavari

Day 2: Rajahmundry-Bhubaneshwar

Day 2 was relatively easy journey as we had to cover only around 600 odd KM. Thought of visiting Puri temple but cancelled plan later as kids would find it difficult with queue and heat. Chilika lake was on the way and we spent some time by the lake. We were ahead of schedule and on the way decided to visit Gopalpur beach. Nothing fancy but a good and clean beach nonetheless. We had our lunch at a restaurant by the beach. It’s about 10-15KM detour from highway. Reached Bhubaneshwar by 4:00 pm. There were plenty of speed cams as we reached closer to Bhubaneshwar. So far haven’t received a challan, so assuming I did not go over speed or speed cams were not functional. Later for dinner, we went out to meet my college buddies and had a good time revisiting memory.

Hotel and Road

We stayed at highway Hotel La-franklin. The hotel was very close to highway which means easy exit next day. Rooms were good and had secure parking. Nothing fancy, just clean place which is what we were looking for.
Roads were good throughout though there was some traffic we encountered after exiting Rajahmundry city. The bypass to Vizag was okay and did consume some time. Roads are mostly 4 lanes, however one need to keep watching out for speed cam. Post Vizag bypass, we did not find good place for breakfast/Lunch.

Day 3: Bhubaneshwar-Kolkata

Started at 7:00 AM from hotel as we were anticipating rather easy drive. We did not find decent restaurants but few KM’s and we found series of sweet shops (might be Pahala) at highway and stopped for quick breakfast. We had some variety of rasagulla, some chats and some more sweets. While the place is not very hygienic, food tasted good and our tummy did not go for a toss. By noon we crossed WB and stopped at a Bengali restaurant for lunch. We reached Kolkata at around 3PM and settled at hotel Fortune Panchwati. Having visited Kolkata earlier, did not dare to drive and hired cab from UBER. Visited Victoria Memorial, Howrah Bridge and few other popular places. Did some shopping before settling at Haldirams for dinner. We found taste ok and did not rekindle same memories as last visit. The Jhal Muri near Victoria memorial which we had earlier was quite good. We spent good 4-5 hours exploring the city and felt the city hadn’t changed much since my visit couple of years ago.

Hotel and road

We stayed at hotel Fortune Panchwati which was at outskirts of city. We usually look for hotels which are closer to highway which helps us to check-in sooner and checkout without having to drive through traffic next day. The rooms were typical 3 -4-star grade and got a parking right in front of my room.

The roads were bad in some sections though nothing that caused problem to Fortuner or for that matter any other car with good GC. We took little more time than anticipated though, thanks to bad roads and diversions. I think Bangalore to Kolkata can be done in 2 days if you plan well.

Day 4: Kolkata-Siliguri

Going by threads here in tbhp and discussion with friends, this was supposed to be among the challenging stretches due to traffic, road conditions. We started early at around 4AM. Filled diesel on the way and gmaps took us through tiny villages. I don’t really recall the names and the exact route we took. While the roads were good it did take some time. Once we hit 4lane it was breeze/ We crossed dreaded Farakka in no time and after Malda, roads were pretty good. We did not stop for breakfast instead decided to use our packed theplas/snacks in car. For lunch, stopped at a restaurant before Farakka. Overall, may be the day we travelled or the time, the drive turned out to be much easier than we anticipated. A lot of bypasses were open, which also helped the drive. We were used to seeing tea estate in mountains but were fascinated to see tea estate in plain lands as we approached Siliguri. We stopped at places to click some pictures and some locals allowed us to take car inside the estate. Initially we planned to stay at city as we did not find good stay in outskirts but later found out a decent hotel near highway. Turned out its little interior though rooms were good and big. While we are used to staying at secluded place, was a bit apprehensive this time as we were the only guest at hotel. That said we didn’t encounter anything bad, had good dinner at hotel and called the day. Morning, we clicked lot of pictures and the campus was really beautiful amidst tea estate.

Hotel and Road

Stayed at Swastika Eco Park – while the place is nice, surrounded by tea estate, would not recommend to all as it is secluded and away from city and highway. Food was decent and hygienic. The approach road is bit off-road and might be difficult for sedans.

The roads as I mentioned turned out to be much better than we anticipated. Compared to previous day, felt the road surface was better and traffic was lighter too. Some bypass appeared to be opened recently, which helped the drive.

On the way to Siliguri

Day 5: Siliguri-Mangaldoi

Started at 6M and drive was scenic amidst tea plantations. Stopped at a small restaurant and had hot parathas for breakfast. We were not sure if to drive to Guwahati or stop at some other place. We could not find many decent places other than Bongaigaon, which we felt was too early. While casually browsing found a hotel Repose at Mangaldoi and decide to stay there. Found a Toyota service centre by highway at Barpeta Road and tanked up AdBlue. The local staff recommend hotel Rekha and we had sumptuous Assamese thali. While we were few KM’s away from hotel, spotted school folks practicing/celebrating Bihu and kids wanted to have a look. We parked car at about 50M away and event was happening at school ground near road. While we were at venue, noticed few folks in bicycle approaching car and trying to peek at stuff inside. Immediately we rushed back to car, they started moving back as they saw us come to car. It might have been folks were curious but I realised that we should have avoided parking as we were in a KA car in an unknown place. Nothing untoward happened and we reached hotel at around 5PM .

Hotel and Road

Stayed at Repose Highway Resort – one of the best stays in our trip with clean, well done and beautiful rooms. They had large play area for kids where we spent rest of the evening. Attached restaurant served some lip-smacking food and among the cleanest kitchens I have seen.

The roads were good and scenic. No major cities and driving across countryside were beautiful. Mostly 4 lane roads with few diversions. Also noticed a lot of huts supplying AdBlue, the price was around 57, which is significantly cheaper than Toyota AdBlue. Wasn’t sure about quality hence decided to fill at Toyota. Drove via Bongaigaon-Barpetta-Mangaldoi. We were driving very close to Bhutan border and on the way, we could spot a lot of Bhutan registered cars. Looks like Bhutan loves Toyota, lot of Old Prado/LC were seen.

Bihu Celebration near Mangaldoi

Bengaluru - Arunchal Roadtrip | 2+ weeks in a Fortuner-mangaldoi_bihu.jpg

Day 6: Mangaldoi-Dirang

The drive was a short one though we had to climb. Probably could have made it to Tawang but we wanted to keep it short. Had a breakfast at hotel and started at around 8AM, and driving slowly, taking pictures and enjoying the drive. Stopped at what appeared like a tiny hut for lunch which served some good Momo’s and noodles. It was a nice lunch while some locals engaged in good conversation. Reached Dirang around 4PM. Initially we planned to stay at Bomdila but decided to push towards Dirang. There are few places you can visit like Shyok valley, Thembang village etc. We decide to visit monastery, which was beautiful and stroll around the sleepy little town. Dirang is at lower altitude compared to Bomdila and is by the river which is a different experience. We spent good enough time at monastery enjoying the views.

Hotel and Road

Stayed at Hotel Mandala which was neat and clean, just what we needed for a night. For what it offers, was a bit pricey but again had good parking and car could be seen from room. The hotel again is on the way to Tawang, which means easy start next day.

Road is fantastic, though single lane and twisty. We were asked for ILP (which we procured online) and checking was done quickly. The security personal checked IDs and let us through. We could see some snow-capped mountains. Traffic was sparse and we did take some detour which took us to some beautiful places.

Day 7: Dirang-Tawang

Today was the D-day we had dreamt off and bit tensed as we were not sure if kids could manage high altitudes. Add to that I was vary about DPF issues too. We wanted to start early but hotel folks suggested us to start at 7-8. The excitement of seeing snow/driving through snow clad mountains we were out of hotel by 630AM. Roads were good and we were ascending in no time. For the first time, decided to do a manual regen. We stopped at Baisakhi and had some hot samosa, vada pav and dose for breakfast, thanks to Indian Army. Regen took about 10min and we spent about 30 mins enjoying breakfast with a view. In no time we were at Sela and noticed that younger one was feeling a bit uneasy. Once at Sela pass, we gave some water to younger one and stopped for a while. He ended up puking and felt better instantly. The snow-clad mountains, frozen lake got all us excited and we made multiple stops clicking pictures, and just watching mother nature. Just one word-mesmerizing. The roads again continued to be beautiful. On the way we saw diversion to Jang falls and took a short detour. A small trek and we get to see the fall from the bottom and were beautiful. Adjacent river just made the experience surreal. After spending an hour, within couple of hours we were at Tawang by lunch time. Checked in at hotel and we ventured out to see the town. Found a nice little café and had some nice tea and lunch. Visited tawang monastery, war memorial and Buddha statue. Evening we spent on shopping and had dinner was at hotel. We had arranged for Bumla pass on the same day we arrived through an agent.
Hotel and Road

Stayed at The Ling Geyser which is close to Bhuddha statue. Rooms were neat and clean with good parkin and city/Mountain view. Again, there was not much crowd in Tawang and even our hotel was almost empty. Food was decent.

Roads were in good condition and we encountered very little traffic. We took Balemu route and I believe most folks take Bhalukpong one. From Guwahati/Mangaldoi, Balemu is quicker and shorter. There was some bad patch immediately after Mangaldoi but was manageable.

Day 8: Tawang-Bumla-Tawang

Locals (Hotel/Taxi/Agents/DC office folks) don’t entertain private vehicles to drive towards Bumla/Madhuri lake and insist you take a taxi. We didn’t have other go and opted for a taxi. Started early and we were happy see snow everywhere. There is a list of places to visit-PTSO, Y Junction, Bumla, Madhuri Lake. While returning from Madhuri Lake we had amazing masala puri/chole and Kheer served at Langar managed by Indian Army. Covering all these place takes around 5-6 hours depending on how much time you want to spend at each place. Since We started early, we were back at hotel by about 130PM or so. We didn’t know what to do rest of the day and also were disappointed that we were not allowed to take our car. Since we had the pass and the drive was less than 1 hour towards Y Junction, we decided to try our luck. At army checkpoint, they refused to allow us and mentioned, private cars not allowed especially post lunch etc. On seeing KA plates, an army guy started speaking in Kannada, only to realise he is from Madikeri. He spoke to seniors and gave us the permit to go ahead however return before its dark. We thanked army/our stars wasted no time and revisited PTSO, Y junctions. Kids had a gala time playing in snow and we took plenty of pictures. Most of the taxis had returned back to base by 3PM and we did not have to fight with locals for parking or managing narrow roads.
Road to Bumla/Madhuri Lake is very good and by the time we went, army had cleared snow from tarmac. Had to engage 4H while detouring from main road and car managed these roads with ease. While the road is narrow and can get choked with taxi traffic, can be managed. Its amazing, how roads are very well maintained in such remote place.

Day 9: Tawang-Kaziranga

While planning we weren’t sure if to do Kaziranga or Meghalaya or both. We decided to do both. Made advance booking for safari and hotel, given that it was holiday season. Started at 5:30 AM, crossed Sela yet again and this time we were driving via Bhalukpong instead of Balemu. This road is more scenic than Balemu and road is quite good too. We were a little worried about the long route from Tawang to Kaziranga via sela and Bhalukpong, which is around 500 +kms on curvy road for close to 10hrs. To our surprise we crossed sela and reached Dirang by 10 AM and reached Tezpur outskirts by around 2PM, where we had lunch. We had booked homestay inside Kaziranga hence had to drive close to 2hrs after the welcome gate to Kaziranga. Reached Homestay at around 5PM and checked in. Bihu celebration was in full swing in Assam, we had multiple groups come to hotel and perform bihu dance to which we were pulled too. It was a nice experience interacting with locals.

Hotel and Road

We stayed in Wildernest Homestay which was close to safari entrance. They have limited rooms and small restaurant with limited menu. Nothing fancy but service was good and staff arranged for Safari and provided us with stuff that we need quite quickly.

Road from Tawang till Kaziranga starting point was excellent there were few bad patches and traffic once we crossed Kaziranga zone but manageable. The route via Bhalukpong is super scenic where you drive across beautiful mountains.

Kaziranga

Bengaluru - Arunchal Roadtrip | 2+ weeks in a Fortuner-kaziranga.jpg

Day 10: Kaziranga- Guwahati

We got up at 5:30AM and got ready for safari at 7:00AM. Gypsy was booked for 4 of us. In about an hour we were at the gate. The safari is very different than what we have down here in KA. You can see vast grasslands and if you have a binocular/zoom lens, can see lot more. The driver gives enough time to see wildlife and did not hurry. We spotted many Rhinos, elephants, birds, some reptiles, buffaloes etc. but as usual we did not get to spot the Tiger. The downside, the safari is quite dusty and you literally get drenched in dust. My phone, camera had a layer of dust. Completed safari and reached hotel at around 12:00PM. Now this is where the confusion was, where do we drive to? We initially decided to drive to Dawki but a local resort owner mentioned we cannot witness clear water as it had rained previous day. Second option was to drive to Shillong or lake Umiam. Since we had kids, trekking/walking long distance was ruled out, so we anyway cannot visit some of popular places of Meghalaya. That’s when we decided to skip Meghalaya and do Varanasi instead. So, we drove to Guwahati. We reached Guwahati by 5PM or so and took evening Brahmaputra River cruise for sunset. Later checked in at hotel at around 7PM or so. The cruise was nice giving good view of sunset, river and city.

Hotel and road

We stayed at Radisson Blu Guwahati, Rooms were typical star hotel and spent good time swimming at pool. Service was very good too. We were in no mood to step out hence had dinner at hotel which was yummy.

Road towards Guwahati was good and we covered distance quite quickly only to get stuck at traffic near Guwahati. Lost about 30 min of time. Other than this, journey was quick and uneventful.

Day 11: Guwahati-Purnia

Started leisurely at 9:00 AM after breakfast and we had planned to stay at Siliguri town. We were covering distance quickly at a good pace and reached Siliguri by about 4PM or so. Decided to extend the drive to Purnia, which would cut short the journey following day. This was the first time in trip we travelled past 5PM. Reached Purnia at 8PM and checked in at hotel followed by dinner. We didn’t have anything to see for the day and probably also the day where we didn’t click any pictures as such.

Hotel and Road

We stayed at Clarks Inn which was decent and limited parking. They have in house restaurant which was helpful. Rooms were neat and clean though were of odd shape.

The road for most part was good. However, 50-60KM close to Purnia, we took a lane which led us service tag plaza and Fortuner jumped through a massive pothole/bad patch. The police insisted us to return back but seeing family, they let us through the gate, which connected back to highway. I was bit worried if there would be any damages, but there were no warnings or any unwanted sounds.

Glimpse of Guwahati

Bengaluru - Arunchal Roadtrip | 2+ weeks in a Fortuner-radisson_view.jpg

Day 12: Purnia-Varanasi

We wanted to reach Varanasi early and had started quite early around 6AM. We took road via Muzaffarpur, good roads and very little traffic, we reached Varanasi by 3PM. We booked hotel on the way at Sarnath. Had lunch at hotel and while family took some time to relax, I took out car a detailing centre to get a good wash. Since we started from Bangalore, had not washed car and there was lot of dirt inside out. Got the car back in an hour. By 5PM we were ready, temperature had cooled down and we hired a battery auto to roam around streets of Varanasi. Both old and new Varanasi has changed quite a bit and has kept up with rest of the country. Did some shopping, had some nice chat for dinner. Returned to room by 10PM.

Hotel and road

We stayed at hotel Fern Sarnath. Neat place and is in a peaceful locality. Close to tourist places of Sarnath but bit far from main attractions of Varanasi. Our hotel was jam packed and we did not get parking inside campus. Instead, was asked to park right outside and was assured that there will be security. I could also see car from the room which was comforting.

The road conditions were pretty good, we missed a flyover and ended up with detour which took us via outskirts of Patna. The road though remained good, got some traffic. There were some G20 visitors and Varanasi appeared clean and tidy. Some of the roads were blocked and had to wait for sometime for cops to clear the traffic.

Day 13: Varanasi

We wanted to visit Kashi temple and booked a cab for entire day from hotel. Got a brand-new Amaze and the car was with us from morning 6Am till night 8PM. Had a good and quick darshan at temple and visited few other attractions at Varanasi like Birla Vishwanath temple, university, few more temples, saree shopping, eating chats and drank a lot of lassi! Evening we had reserved to do boat ride at river Ganga and view Ganga Aarti. This was surreal experience. The water and ghats were much cleaner compared to my previous visit. Viewed Ganga Aarthi from our boat which was good too. On return at around 8PM or so, our boat refused start and had to be towed all the way till the Ghat where we had boarded. Was a bit scary and unique towing experience!

Day 14: Varanasi – Nagpur

We didn’t have much to see, started at around 6AM from hotel. Roads continued to be good to excellent. Mostly 4 lane and usual road going via Rewa-Jabalpur. Reach Nagpur by 5PM. The city always impressed us and did not disappoint this time too. The city roads were good and clean. Once we checked in at hotel, it rained heavily for some time. We ventured out to taste some Misal pav and settled back at hotel by 9PM.

Hotel and Road

Checked in at hotel Nagpur Ashok which was within city limits. A bit old hotel and has limited parking. Nothing much to complain and service was good. Also, the first time where I had handed over car for valet in the trip.
The road from Varanasi- Nagpur is pretty good. Unlike last time, we found few decent hotels especially around Jabalpur/Rewa area where we could get some decent food.

Day 15: Nagpur-Bangalore

The home run leg, we knew this was going to be a stretch but route that we have done few months back. Drive through Pench was good. For the first time in entire trip was stopped by MH Police who let us go after checking all documents. Hyderabad ring road was good and helped a lot in reducing drive time. Stopped for lunch at Hyderabad. At around 7PM or so stopped at cubestop Anantapur for dinner. Reached home at around 10PM.

Car stats

Coming to Fortuner, we put close to 7500KM in 15days. Had topped up AdBlue before starting the journey and tanked up again in Barpeta road. I noticed air had started leaking slowly from a rear tire when approaching Tawang. There was large nail which managed to pierce the tire and was fixed at a tyre shop in Tawang. From door to door got average FE of 11.5KMPL. I don’t know if it was because of the car or the roads were indeed good, road conditions were the last thing we worried about. Some of detours, places around Bumla had used 4H made life lot easier. May be the car would made it through with bit of struggle in 2H, but without the 4-wheel insurance I would not have dared to explore lot of places. Kids were belted for most part and happy at the back with their toys and food supplies. The extra space came in handy and kids utilised the extra space to the fullest. In my previous journey I used to carry a lot of tools, but this time around I hardly carried anything other than basic spanner set and tire inflator.

I had enabled custom regen in the car a month in advance and had come in very handy. Before ascending high altitude, I could initiate regen irrespective of the state of DPF which gave us freedom to be at higher altitudes for longer duration. Infact auto regen worked flawlessly at Tawang and nearby places. I filled diesel at various brands and used regular diesel, for some reason after filling at Jio-BP regen frequency was higher. For most part relied on IOC/HP.

One other mention I have to make is about AC, even at blazing hot temperatures (Varanasi was at 45C), I never had to set AC temp below 25. The cooling was quick and ventilated seats were super useful. For most part of journey, temp at 25-26 would keep all of us happy. In my other cars, it would be around 22-24.

This was the longest trip we did in Fortuner. Previously we had done trips ranging 1-3K KM and this journey has made me love the engine even more. Yes, it’s not very frugal but cruising at good speeds irrespective of road conditions ensured an enjoyable and effortless drive. AT gearbox is not the best but matches the characteristics of heavy body on frame SUV.

Few other highlights

1. During the trip we visited beach, lakes, drove around snow mountains and crossed over 3 major river- Godavari, Ganga and Brahmaputra.
2. Lowest temperature recorded during trip was 0/1C at around Bumla while highest was 45C at Varanasi. This was as per Car’s temperature indicator.
3. Highest fuel price was at 100 at AP (Andhra Pradesh) and 83 at AP (Arunachal Pradesh)
4. We crossed 11 states during this trip.
5. Total toll charges came to around 9500/-, which worked slightly more than 1Rs/KM
6. Fast tag worked flawlessly at every toll and not once we had to pay in cash
7. For roads we relied mostly on google maps. While it was accurate most part, appeared a bit confused within city limits.
8. While we did carry enough cash, we mostly used UPI and card payment in most of places. Was convenient and worked well without any issues.
9. Some part of Northeast especially plains of Assam, Bhalukpong (and possibly ML) resembles Western ghats to certain extent.
10. Average speed for the trip was 57KM/Hr. This includes, highway, ghats, city etc.

Shots of Food that we got to savor

The beauty of driving across India is you get to taste different cuisine. Almost everyday the taste/Menu kept changing. What's more interesting, even the veggies tasted differently. We got to taste roadside, fast food, dhaba, fine dining, army canteen- pretty much everything. Given the temperature and kids, we were bit cautious though. We also had carried lots of fluids(packed juice, energy drinks, glucose, milk etc.) and food suitable for all occupants. There were stretches where we did not get any decent place and we utilised the stock we had. Thanks to big boot, we carried two large bags of food supplies enough for 15 days.

Photos taken at Kaziranga taken on a basic camera/phone

Kaziranga was an amazing experience. The day we checked in, It was the Bihu that we enjoyed. While We are not into photography, all of us liked Safari. The private open Jeep safari was brilliant. The terrain is different than what we experience down South and is quite huge as well. WE felt the charges are nominal and infact wanted to do another round of Elephant Safari. I think we will visit here again for sure. The only downside was dust, we were literally drenched with dust.

Cheers to you for making Bumla with your own vehicle.

I'm from West Bengal, during my trip in April 2018 we had a very similar situation and therefore somehow sneaked with our Motorbikes with the help of an army man. Very happy to see that the roads have been paved now, however it was very challenging during our time, with all over black ice, snow and traffic.

Did you find Sela to be entirely snow covered?

Regards

Sela had snow but not as much as Bumla. The Taxi guys were checking outstation cars. There was a HP car which was let through as it had Army sticker. I think if you come early the Army would allow but the Taxi union might create some trouble. As we ascended most of the taxi had returned to Tawang or were returning and remaining one's probably did not bother.

Attaching a snap of itinerary for reference

Awesome travelogue. Congratulations for successfully completing this epic road trip.

Reminded me our Bengaluru - Assam road trip last year, where we took same route, Central India - Eastern India for onward and East Coast route for our return.

Truly amazed by your trip. The fortuner seems comfortable indeed for this kind of an adventure.

Hoping to plan a similar trip in the future based on your details. Cheers!
