| Tarkarli - Kunkeshwar - Devgad We have been staying in Tarkarli for a few days now. Someone suggested we do Kunkeshwar and Devgad. The distance to Kunkeshwar is about 40 km. There is a very old and famous Lord Shankar temple there.  The route is very scenic and very beautiful. It's a mixture of drive by sea and in hills. Greenery all over except in some patches. Kunkeshwar to Devgad is also very beautiful. In many places, the roads are lined by mango trees and plantations. Devgad has a windmill farm which offers a great view of the oceans.     |

| Re: Tarkarli - Kunkeshwar - Devgad Today we did Tarkarli - Redi - Fort Therkhol (in Goa) - Sawantwadi - Tarkarli The route is extremely scenic. It's a difficult drive since the road has bends almost continuously. That said, the road condition is good and the drive is beautiful. Ganapati temple at Redi is very very nice and has some interesting history. A short drive from there is Fort Therkhol which is a heritage hotel on top of a mountain. The views of Arabian Sea from there are incredible. They have a small chic restaurant where you can get good food and cheap liquor. On the way to Sawantwadi there are several cashew nut "factories" where you can get freshly roasted cashew nuts. Here are some photos      |
