Re: Munnar and Meghamalai diaries

Some log this has been! Not just Munnar being even Meghamalai. We usually wonder to cover one of the two! But you covered both in one go!

Re: Munnar and Meghamalai diaries

Wonderfully written with lovely pictures. Your travelogue just added to my excitement towards our trip coming week.
One quick question, after Top Station, will driving a bit to Pampadum Shola National Park be worth it ? Not all the way to Vattavada .. but want to drive a bit after the checkpost and then turn back.

The roads are good around Top Station. The route is scenic, with cloud floating along the road. You can drive further as the Pampadum Shola National park is just a few kms away. I didn't and hence, I can't comment if it will be worth it.

All the best for your upcoming trip!

Re: Day 6: Meghamalai

Cant find a better place than Meghamalai to unwind. Beautiful travelogue and pics

We had visited there few years back but it was after the rains. Was much greener then

But the view of the jungle and the lush green tea plantation more than make up for the experience.

Hidden in the corner, is the waterfall

Here's how it looks after the rains - small falls. But you still can take a bath if you prefer

There is a small forest clearing in a valley nearby. Beautiful place. Didnt your guide take you there?

Re: Munnar and Meghamalai diaries

Thanks for the lovely travelogue and google pins of the places you visited. Came across this while looking for the route conditions as I am planning to travel from Hyd-Munnar next week.
Have been to Munnar several times but would like to visit some of the places you have mentioned and also dine at restaurants where you had a good experience
