Re: Darjeeling from Kolkata, and a few other gems of North Bengal

The hills of Darjeeling and Kalimpong hold a special charm and that pulls me every time I see a travelogue on those places. Loved the photos and that made me quite nostalgic. We actually spent back to back 2 year ends of 2017 and 2018 in the Darjeeling Hills and those were great days with lovely Kanchenjunga sightings, drinking cups and cups of Darjeeling tea, frequenting Glenarys and Keventers...!
In the future, you may try visiting the Tea Garden resorts that have started coming up - these are uber luxurious and unique.

I was thinking of staying at the WBTDC tourist lodge next time actually.
You are absolutely right when you say that Darjeeling and Kalingpong ar actually very very nostalgic, an they never fail to impress!
