Wonderful pictures. Thanks for sharing! :thumbs up
Mind blowing stuff there C300.
Some very good pictures there, C300. I'm not much of a birder myself, but OMH has always been known as a birder's paradise. Must plan a visit soon.

Thanks Stryker. OMH is a special place for birders. I will be at OMH over the coming weekend, this time with the family. Will share more pics in coming days.
Amazing clicks there C300!
Did you not sight any hornbills? Dandeli is home to four different varieties of hornbills too. If you happen to have the right local guide (JLR should offer you some help you with connect), they can show you the exact trees and branches where you can sight the hornbills and other birds.
Dandeli has amazing flora and fauna besides great driving circuits!
Fantastic pictures and excellent story! Can you please elaborate on the JLR facilities ? I checked their website but nothing much is discussed about Old Magazine House. Is there a naturalist available at JLR who can help with spotting birds and hence, photography? given how expensive JLR Kabini has gotten over the years, I guess its time to explore the other JLRs in Karnataka... and your guidance would be helpful.
This was a fantastic place to spend time, I stayed here with my wife for a week after my marriage. There was one guy who took care of all activities in 2010, do not know the recent updates.
Nice captures! What camera and lenses did you use?
Excellent photographs! Was really interesting to know about the names of these beautiful birds. I had been to Dandeli once but never knew about this place. Not much of a birder, but I am seriously thinking about visiting the place after seeing your lovely pictures. More information about the stay and facilities would be really appreciated. Thanks!
Fabulous pictures with smoooooth background !!!
Some details of stay options and cost please.... OMH, Ganeshgudi is on my wishlist for quite some time.
Thanks for sharing
Warm regards,
Siddhartha
Amazing photos. I have been admiring your photography skills since your Hampi post. It's great there are still places where there are so many diverse birds. In our cities today we only find crows & pigeons & they are a menace. Apparently smaller birds like sparrows are almost extinct due to mobile phone towers. I guess that's a subject for another thread!!!
Excellent Pictures C300 !clap:
I have recently shifted to Hyderabad and was planning to visit Dandeli soon for birdwatching. After seeing your lovely pictures I think I need to plan asap !
@c300, fabulous pictures. And yes as requested by all, can you please post cost details for OMH and equipment used.
Also request to post exif data for the pictures posted.
Regards
Nikhil
