The Saptamatha Temple, Bangalore This is a short writeup about a new temple dedicated to the Saptamathas. This is just a little off Hoskote; on the hoskote - malur road. The temple is located on a small hillock that offers a decent view of the areas around. The temple itself is beautiful and spacious with enough stone benches outside for you to savour the peace. The last 2 kms or so is kuchcha road and the last 300 metres or so is a bit of an ascent leading to the temple's courtyard. Enough car parking available. The old Sapthamatha temple can also be seen next to the new one.
Excellent place to seek peace and enjoy some views peacefully. You might find some peacocks if you are lucky.
Temple is open from 7AM-1230 and from 330pm to 7pm. Best visited on a cold morning at 7 am or a nice chilly evening around 430 pm. Pack your own food and plan to spend an hour around the temple. You can make a full day itinerary if you add in Markandeya hill (malur- kolar road, This is another beautiful place, look it up) and vokkaleri anjaneya temple, chikka tirupathi temple.
Bangalore-hoskote-sapthamatha Temple, arlemakanahalli - markandeya hills, vokkaleri - malur - chikka tirupathi temple - ranganathaswamy temple, kalkunte agrahara - Bangalore would be a full day thing and a relaxed drive.
