Really glad that you liked the travelogue. Just trying to punch in something that could be beneficial for the forum.
Abirnale told me about your XUV. If I may quote him "A Cheetah owner narrating stories about the real Cheetahs". That's how I stumbled upon your thread. What a delightful find it was! Worth every minute I spent reading through it.

Great experience with some memorable takeaways. How much did the trip cost? Did you have to take yellow fever shots?

Re: Masai Mara - A magical week in wildlife heaven

Wonderful will be an understatement.
People generally go to Switzerland or Europe when travelling abroad. Very few chose Masai Mara. It clearly shows your penchant towards wild life. The pictures are beautifully clicked, the narration part covers all the essential's.
I will keep this thread for my future reference if i travel to Masai Mara someday. It's definitely on my cards for a long time. Lets see, if it ever happens!

Thanks, bigron, Olympal. Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory to visit any country listed here https://www.iamat.org/country/india/risk/yellow-fever This vaccination is valid for ten years and it is essential that you get it at least 10-15 days before departure. Apart from that it is advisable to take polio vaccine, which is valid for only one year, but nobody asked me for this. Hepatitis vaccination is not mandatory.

Wow! Stryker - You sure have upped the ante now! Kabini/Nagerhole/etc. will seem tame for you in comparison, again! . We are so damned eager to see one tiger or even a glimpse of the elusive cats in our forests, and here you get a perfect exhibition of multiple cats and that too cats making a kill! Talk about overkill!

As always, fascinating write-up and brilliant pics! Here's hoping that you will have many more travels like this!

If this has indeed happened, then it would be wonderful! The greatest compliment to any photographer (or any storyteller, for that matter) would be to visit the places being shown, to experience for yourself what the photographer experienced.

Wow!! Simply loved the travelogue. Can’t really seem to make up my mind on which I loved more, the superb photos or your crisp and witty narration! Thanks for sharing.

As for me, this couldn’t have come at a better time as I’m also in the process of getting things lined up for my very first trip to Mara in Nov!

P.S. – Have sent you a PM

Thanks, Vikash. Hope you have a great time at Mara and looking forward to the images! Are you going as part of a group? If so, which tour operator?

We're a group of 4-5 friends travelling together and all planning & bookings are being taken care by two of us who have been to mara a couple of times before.

Re: Masai Mara - A magical week in wildlife heaven

Wish I could save this travelogue to re visit the wonderful pics and equally good write up which gave justice to those beauties. Surely 7* stuff.

After reading this, Mara is definitely on my to do list and hope to be as lucky as you to be able to see so many beautiful lives in their natural surroundings.

Cheers to you and I really hope to emulate your efforts!
