Re: Photologue: Frozen Leh & Ladakh

Thanks Dhar’s for this brilliant travelogue, Rating 4 Stars. All the pictures are amazingly beautiful, and those night shots are refreshing. I must congratulate you as you got to witness their regional festival and capture those colorful activities.

Beautifully captured images. Looks like snow was really missing this time.

Isn't that Stakna Monastery right next to Manali - Leh highway?

Thank you Sir.
Yes. As per the locals, (till Jan) snow was really less this season.

I was told that it was Thiksey Monastery. Maybe a miscommunication.

A quick search on google maps with approximate position where the photo was taken, I think it is Stakna Monastery. Thank you for pointing out. Regret the error.

Mods: Can you please correct the name of Monastery to Stakna Monastery.

Re: Photologue: Frozen Leh & Ladakh

Stunning pictures would be an understatement. Frozen ladak and that too during a festive season has its own perks and it clearly reflects in all the images. All the portraits are mind blowing, curious to know was there any PP involved or just selective underexposing . Flying to Himalayas has its own very advantage. Keep travelling and sharing such beautiful photologue.

Thank you for your kind words.

I use -3f at 0.7 stops bracketing for all portraits and choose the best out of three. And yes, its post processed in Lightroom.

Flying to Himalayas has its advantage but will miss out the experience of traveling through the mountain roads. Hope to do that one day.
