Re: To Dev Bhoomi, Uttarakhand

Lovely travelogue with some great pics .. DryIce!
Uttarakhand never ceases to amaze with all the mythology associated with already stunning hill destinations.
Have been to areas from Haridwar/Rishikesh to Badrinath, Auli, Ukhimath, Chopta, Khirsu, Pauri, etc., but never to this side (may be next time).

Very nice write-up with some beautiful pics!

Regarding your route "Rampur - Rudrapur", I think its a very known fact that this route has some very bad stretches. Not sure how you missed that.

Thanks! Well it was really between a known Devil (Rampur-Rudrapur) and an unknown Angel (Suar - Bazpur - Kaladhungi). I chose the former.

But from what I got to know later, route via Kaladhungi is better.

Six months back I took the Bazpur route and it was good except 5Kms. And as per few other recent updates from other bhpians, this route is still good and far better than the route you took,

Fabulous travelogue Dry Ice. Enjoyed going through the pictures of the historic monuments and the scenic landscapes. The Jungle Lodge in Jogeshwar must have been a very refreshing change.
