Day 6 pics are broken. Please check. What Nikon camera/lenses did you use (Assuming from the camera bags)? Also, what make is the wide angle lens (appeared so at the busy street outside your first hotel from day 2)?
Thanks for the appreciation!

The pictures are a combination of Nikon D5200 and Nikon D3200 with Sigma Wide Angle lens 10-20mm and Nikon Zoom lens 70-300mm plus few pix clicked with the iPhone 5.

Thanks for sharing. Brings back memories of my trip to Turkey in 2004.

Although I did not visit the other cities apart from Istanbul, I still have fond memories of my travel to Istanbul itself.

Lovely weather, great food & very friendly locals. Definitely a must travel to destination for history buffs.
Thanks buddy!! Not much data burn but a lot of time and patience

Awesome write up and wonderful pics! Is December a good time to visit?

And the big mosque - is everyone allowed in? I might PM you for some details about travel, accommodation etc.

Thank you naveenroy!!

December would be nice as the weather will be cool and you might experience snow in the mountains of Cappodocia.

Yes every one is allowed in the Blue Mosque.

My pleasure to help you out with any more details.

Re: Turkish Delights

Wonderful travelogue. I read that tourism has boomed in Turkey owing to the popularity of Turkish soaps in Asia and Europe! Most of these soaps are shot around the Bosphorus.

Very enjoyable travelogue, liked the pics too but did not see any of Aditi Rao. It would do well to spice up the thread

Re: Turkish Delights

Wow. That's indeed a lovely place. My friend recently traveled there (i.e. he is still on vacation there) and I first thought 'why Turkey of all places' and I got my answer from your pics. I really have to plan this with my family for sure. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks for the nice comments!!

Well I refrained from putting up the pictures with Aditi Rao Hydari as I wanted the whole focus to be on our travels in Turkey. Now that the Travelogue is a few days old and lot many members have viewed it and also on your requests below are the pictures

Re: Turkish Delights

Thank you for the excellent log. Made me want to visit Turkey again!

I was there last year with the wife and skipped Cappadocia. Instead we went to Bodrum.

After reading your log, I just messaged her that we have to visit Turkey again.
Thank you once again for the detailed log!

Re: Turkish Delights

Hi
Sameer,

The Sultanate on Wings !
Amazing Photography
Loved & appreciated your travelogue.
However only writing now after I could not stop envying your picture with Aditi.
What did the Sultan do on board.
Turkesh Airlines 777 Business Class looked good and initially I got confused it as dreamliner business class, which also have angled seat but all unidirectional.

Awesome travelogue. I was thinking of doing the same trip next year. Will get in touch with you shortly regarding the nitty gritties and other stuff.
Loved the snaps of the balloon trip.
