Ya, certainly NPV. I would like to spent couple of night at Agumbe Rainforest Research Station , ideal for birding and Kasturi Akka's home-stay.

Day - 7 - Evening to Raja's Seat, Coorg. There is a toy train ride also there. Evening we walked around the market.

Day - 8 - Tala Kaveri - Origin of River Cauvery
Its about 65 kms from hotel. Good scinic drive. Its almost a day trip.
Also about 10 kms before there is a Triveni Sangam too.
Also the view is awesome from the Brahmagiri Mountains. I think about 350+ steps need to be climbed. Must say was little tough. Evening we spent at resort.

A brilliant travelogue, accompanied by some wonderful pics, thank you very much for sharing, I have been planning something similar for the past 2 years but time constraints during visits to India have meant that these plans were always put on the back burner , your report has definitely inspired me and a similar trip will be the first on the things to do list during my up coming trip to India .

Day - 9 - Dubare Elephant Camp & Bylakuppe - Tibetan settlement...

The plan was to first visit Dubare and Bylekuppe after that.
We were advised reach early at Dubare which was about 35 kms from our Hotel.
Reached by 8.30 at Dubare. Had our breakfast and took ferry to other side where the elephant camp is located. Nice scenic place.

Outstanding travelogue first of its kind on Dakshin kannada . You should be recommended for an award for promoting tourism. It is a comprehensive report on all tourist destinations in south Karnataka leaving a few . You could have included Udupi Sri Krishna temple and its golden chariot along with some pictures from Kollur Mookambika temple .

Some brilliant shots of birds and animals . It has to be appreciated the way you have managed time .

Thanks swathyd. I do have photos of Sri Krishna temple and Mookambika temple. But that trip was done way back in 2010 if i remember correctly. Let me digout and will share the same.

Day - 9 Continued...

By 10 we left for Bylakuppe. The other tibetan settlement we saw was at McLeod Ganj. Golden temple as just awesome. We back to our hotel by 4pm.

Day - 10 - Checkout CM by 9 am. Our destination was Mysore Palace. 120 kms ride to mysore was smooth. There were lots of speed arresters. Reached Mysore palace by 1 pm. One of the most beautiful palace i have seen. The wall paintings , portraits, public durbar halls .. awesome.. Its worth taking a guide to know the history.





















Left Mysore by 4 pm. By 9 pm we reached home.
Day - 11 - More of a rest day and meeting friends and relatives.
Day - 12 - Returned the car and back to home @ delhi.

Amazingly hectic yet relaxed and a well summarised log. So much details, I must it took some for me to go through the whole log. The choice of circuit was also perfect. Hope you all had good fun.

Unless there is some special function at Sringeri , we just walked in for rooms. There are enough rooms available.
