Lovely photos, thanks for sharing. Your ride looks good in the greens. Can you please elaborate the road conditions Hunsur-Nagarhole-Kutta-Tholpetty-Thirunelly. Is it doable in a small hatch? How did you book the resort (online/agent etc) ?

Absolutely. If I am able to do in a car like Linea with low GC and higher wheelbase, doing in a small hatch would be much more easy.

I directly called them and blocked a room.

Sorry. I did not take pictures of the interiors. But, it is very decent and neat. They do not have in-house kitchen or restaurant. A care taker will take care of our food needs by placing the order at KTDC Tamarind. He also serves at our room itself. The tariff is Rs. 1800 net for a night.

That is some 'Yatri Nivas' located near the Thirunelly temple.

Lovely photos mate,

I enjoyed the greenery a lot in your pics. But I guess you could have uploaded some more pics as there is a lot of scope for pics in wayanaad area. I loved the photo nos 2 and 3.

Drive Safe.

Cheers

Thanks voyageur. I am glad that you enjoyed the pictures. It was indeed raining continuously and I could take my camera out rarely.

I will make sure that I present my next travelogue with lots of pictures.

Agree with you satran but it is next only to Tamilnadu. Heavy traffic and density of population plays spoilsport on Kerala highways.

Wonderful Travelogue and great pictures.

The only problem with your travelogue with such enticing pictures - that too of Wayanad, is, our frustration increases for not being able to make the trip. Its like watching mouthwatering sweets when your are fasting!

One point of solace is that we will be able to make it, albeit with our Hatchbacks.

Thanks once again,

- Sai

Saw an article regarding Wayanad this Sunday in Hindu, and was looking for info on it when I came across your travelogue. The pictures look amazing and greens are so enticing.

And someone above rightly mentioned, the three pictures in first update are the best and set the tone for what comes later.

Cheers!!!
