Dear Parag, Just started reading your travelogue and a long way to go. Since I saw that you are using a car DVR could you please let me know the model and price? I checked out quite a few on ebay but don't have any testimonials of the products. I know this is off topic but expect your kind reply. You may choose to PM me too. Thanks.

Thanks for the PM with subsequent conversations and I guess by now you may have picked up a Dash-cam as I type this.

Even before I complete the last leg of this Travelogue (at least the pictures with reports) and add the Dash-Cam videos, I along with funkykar and alokgunhal completed yet another run on the Golden Quadrilateral between 25 Oct- 1 Nov and this time we did that exactly counter-clockwise in following phases:

Leg 1:
Bangalore-Chennai-Nellore-Rajamundry-Vijaywada-Vizag-Bhubaneshwar-Bhadrak
Kms: ~1800
Total time including all breaks: ~ 33 Hours
4:30PM (D1) – 1:30AM (D2)

Leg 2:
Bhadrak-Kolaghat-Kolkata Bypass-Asansol-Dhanbad-Varanasi-Kanpur-Agra-Delhi
Kms: ~ 1808
Total time including all breaks: ~ 33 Hours
12:30PM (D1) – 9:30PM (D2)

Leg 3:
New Delhi-Jaipur-Kishnagarh-Bhilwara-Chittorgarh-Udaipur-Pindwara-Palanpur-Mehsana-Ahmedabad-Thane-Bangalore
Kms: ~ 2500
Total time including all breaks: ~56 Hours

We halted at Mehsana between 1:30PM till 10:00PM (8.5 Hours), Stopped for Power nap for 2 hours (5:30AM-7:30AM) near Vapi and Spent at least an hour and a half in Mumbai.
10:00PM (D1) – 6:00AM (D3)

Expect yet another Travelogue with better pictures from alokgunhal which should be in assembly line now.

...and no, this time it wasn't in the WagonR again!

Homework for me: Finish this existing log of mine to call it complete !!

I have read through the whole 9 pages. Just blown away by all the detailed information that you shared. I would definitely like to hear about the last leg and see those dash cam videos. When are you going to complete it?
Waiting patiently.

Re: Pan India - GQ trip.

Please consult HVK for some priceless guidelines. We did the same GQ trip as shown in your map with his help. There are several issues like emergency kits, emergency road help, last minute hotel accommodation since you may not reach your planned destination each day and accurate fuel dumps who are less cheats , are some of the niggles you shall have to face. Wish you a hasselfree GQ tour, best wishes.

It's not complete until you put up the videos you promised to put up.

Just managed to read this thread completely today. Awesome writing with all the finer details.

EDIT: Just realised it's been over 600 days since the last post.
