Fantastic photos. And to think you have taken them with a so called 'consumer' DSLR/lens combo! Talent matters a lot more than equipment :-)

Do share more.

Re: My rumblings with Nature - A photologue

Time to update a long lost thread .

Post monsoon days are very good for photography. Greenery still present, beautiful skies, clouds, a perfect recipe for landscape shoots.

Plenty of waterfalls post monsoons. Time to bore with long exposure shots .

Where was the last one shot ? Is it on the road to Thoseghar ? Or is it the Thoseghar-Patan road beyond the plateau ?

Yes, it's on the way to Thoseghar. The usual regular route.

Thanks. Just wanted to if I could still identify the place ! Start of this year we drove to Thoseghar and then instead of coming back to Satara we chose to drive over the Plateau to Patan. Took the road from there to Karad and then continued on the 4-lane to Bangalore. The road over plateau was actually not a road but only a slew of stones. We drove 20km in 3 hours on first and second gear. But it was awesome driving along these endless windmills. At one point I almost felt when would I see the tar !

Re: My rumblings with Nature - A photologue

Went on a trek to Karnala recently with team-bhp buddies. The ruins on fort looked magnificent in HDRs.

I do not have words to express my appreciation for your photos. Hard to believe that you have taken these with a kit lens and 55-250.

Outstanding work. Proves that the man behind is more important than the equipment. Every thing is top class - shot composition , exposure and of course the locations. Please keep them coming more frequently

Re: My rumblings with Nature - A photologue

These are amazing clicks. Superb skills. I have trekked to many forts in the Sahayadris and seeing them over here again feels really good.

Please do keep this thread updated with more pics.

I also wanted to ask you about your recent trek to Karnala. Was the weather hot or pleasant enough? I am asking cos we had been to Karnala last year roughly in mid Feb and the sun was too hot to enjoy the trek. We had few first timers with us and they got too dehydrated and tired and we had to return half way back.

We are hoping to do one last trek before summer starts but not able to decide on any particular fort yet.
