Hi guys.This is my first travelogue on team bhp or rather it is just a brief account of my small 1 day trip to bhoramdeo temple.



I have been born and brought up in bhilai,chattisgarh and bhoramdeo temple is just a 3 hour drive from my town but for some reason never really made it.Recently chattisgarh government have been trying a lot to promote tourism and hence heard a lot about bhormadeo temple.So finally me n mom decided to have a visit.


Left on 8th jan morning 9 AM in my maruti 800 2004 model.I have already cloaked 62k in these 8.5 years and this car has been hasslefree.



Route was durg-dhamda-bemetra-kawardha-bhormadeo.There is an overbridge near durg railway station from where we get on dhamda road.After crossing the bridge initially for 10 kms had to encounter some truck traffic as there are a lot of factories in this route.Once past that started doing speed of 80km/r.the road from durg to dhamda is a 2 lane road.it's not the smoothest road but still u wouldn't find bumps or craters and one can easily maintain speeds of 70km/hr.Reached bemetra round about 11:00 AM.Had some samosas and jalebis in bemetra and then moved on.Reached kawardha by 12:00PM.Once u reach kawardha u have to take the bypass route and then after crossing the city there is a left turn that leads to bhoramdeo temple.There are well marked signboards of chattisgarh toursim throughout the road.The road leading up to the temple is very narrow with a lot of speed brakers.

The temple complex has a big garden with a small restaurant.There is a lake behind the temple.Within the complex around the temple there are a lot of small temples.The architecture of the temple is great and it forces u to imagine how the temple was constructed.

Had lunch in the restaurant inside the complex and left by 3:00 PM.Reached home by 6:00 PM
