Few questions...
How did the Figo behave on the mountains.
Did you add any special anti-freeze additive to Diesel
14 kmpl is a very average mileage for the 1.4 Litre TDCi engine. Guess you had many steep roads to climb.

The usual Ford traits, assuring, glued like a leech and being the first road trip in the hills, I couldn't ask for a better Car. Thanks to the Car's impeccable manners, I am looking forward for more trips to the hills.

No anti-freeze. The Car's glow-plug came on for the first time BTW. And it never started on the first crank. The Estilo had to be jump started BTW. Both Cars were resting from 25th evening to 29th morning. Parked outside.

14kmpl? My Car aped GTO's Civic to the T as far as this picture goes.



Add to inclines, A/C running 100% and few bursts to 100MPH in the plains. I believe lack of oxygen when you are above 8,000ft adds its bit as well.

Sheel , I thought you were planning this on your bike ! , great to see that you made the trip. roamingrao had called me up for updates on the dumka-bhagalpur route as I was returning from Bhutan and mentioned that you were in Gangtok. He finally decided to take NH34.

Good TL. Reminds me of my trip to Gangtok 8-10 years back. I loved the architecture, the cleanliness and the orderliness of Gangtok. I really enjoyed that trip a lot. Though Darjeeling was a part of this trip and preference was given to it due to its popularity, but in the end, we all agreed that Gangtok was better and we could have given more days to rather than Darjeeling. I really wish to visit this part of the country again.

How I wish I could. I hated everytime I had to corner in an incline or a fast sweeper or S bends came up & there were tons of them.

I too feel the same. Sikkim is underrated and infrastructure is real nice.
