Mine are from Blue Garage. The quality is good and machining is very well done. I am unable to feel any difference but my friend did notice improvement while going over rumble strips. He has pre-facelift Thar without spacers. May be. I do go over those strips and the improvement could be slight. The biggest improvement I have seen, regardless of spacers or not is if you load the car OR reduce the tyre pressure. All in all, its a nice cosmetic addition IMO (the rear end now looks squat).

I had spacers once upon a time and they spoiled my high speed handling. Vehicle used to Fishtail on rumble strips before and after installation - could not notice any significant change. As I did not want any compromise on handling part, I sold them for scrap.
Now it handles like a Playstation game

Yes. The 2015 facelifted CRDe has rear diff locker (MLD). Pre-facelift models don't have.

Please get the Ventury Hose checked.

Please get the EGR and intercooler cleaned by a trusted mechanic. Your issue may be resolved.

Hi All,

Unable to stop the diesel leaking from the fuel tank cap keyhole. Could you please recommend what will help solve this?

Can you please post a picture of the issue for better understanding? Keyhole is not directly connected with the fuel line. Rather, the cap may be leaking and in that case, diesel should drip down through the gap with body and the outer metal cover on which the lock (keyhole) exists.

Hi,
Please check the rubber washer in between body and the cap that might need to be replaced. Also stop filling the fuel tank to max capacity.. what the pump guys call auto cut should be sufficient..

hope this helps.

Here is a image of the fuel cap and I have been filling just half a tank but the leaks still continue.Review: 1st-gen Mahindra Thar (2011 - 2019)-4b5072bf98954cb09135922a92452cdf.jpeg

Re: Review: 1st-gen Mahindra Thar (2011 - 2019)

I have a similar but different problem than leakage.

My thar crde stands at my Learn Offroad Training grounds for 5-6 days open to elements and gets used only on a Sunday.

Last time I got a water in fuel tank check light.

So there has to be some leakage from fuel cap to the tank. On checking the cap it "seems" snug.

Anyone faced this issue and how did you tackle it?

This weekend I'll be going and draining the diesel from the tank.

Many congratulations, looks very nice
Fender flares are neat.

Are your steel rims 15 or 16 inches ?
Also did you install the rear spacers ,I am looking forward for reviews before taking the plunge.

Thank you

Re: Review: 1st-gen Mahindra Thar (2011 - 2019)

Thanks man I must say very impressed with the interior and exterior customization by Mahindra at least by Indian standards. Its not like Chip Foose customization but it works for me. 15inch rims on mine no spacers as everyone I spoke to advised against it. I don't use it to its full potential as i travel a lot for work and most of the time it sits for 4 months at a time when I'm away unless some one from the family decides to take it out for a spin. Really thinking of getting a hard top done sometime soon but i just bought 4 bottles of forever black top restorer so in a pickle should i wait till the next rains or get it done in a month when I'm down next.
