Nice pictorial comparison scooby05. The nano looks as smart as the Smart. With wider rubber and matching alloys and matching paintjob, may be it will look better than the smart. For 1/8th the price, the nano is definitly better.

An interesting pic of Nano VS grand Vitara!

Look at the height of nano, it almost is as high as the GV!

Nano is already available in the 2nd hand market. Todays newspaper had an ad for a Nano LX, 1300 Km. Price 1.6 Lakhs. I never thought people would sell so soon.

Guys,

Just visited Tata Nano website and found that they have a new feature to drive nano virtually. Visit tatanano.com and click on drive button.
They are also calling for volunteers to help them test the virtual drive and be the first to join the Nano Test Drivers club.

How about the top 10 ranks be taken up by team-bhpians? what say?

I'll wait for the details for before saying that it is bad news for Tata.

The picture in the report is frightening.
But as @Amartya said, how could they fit in a power steering in the Nano?

Going by the price i guess the reporter meant AC and Power Windows. A typo error.

What are the possible causes for the car to go up in flames like that? Its worrying me a lot as I would be getting the delivery of my Nano in the coming week in Bangalore.

Also, I have opted not to take the extended warranty since I dint see a point with it as the original warranty is for 18 months. How necessary do you guys think the extended warranty is?

Whoa,, but isnt 1.6L too costly for a second hand car.

Considering the LX model will cost just north of 2L OTR and brand 'new' second hand ones (where the original allotee does not want to buy the car) I think 1.6L is a not steep. Will need to see the reason for the quote as there are quite a few people who booked only on speculation and have made a killing.

1.6L for a car with just 1000km on the odo.

That is a depriciation of over 25% !!
Considering that there is a waiting list for Nano this is a good deal.
