The holes on the floor mat (drivers side) comes with a set of Plastic Clamps that would fix the mat to the floor so as to avoid any kind of movement while getting in/out of the car. The clamps are fixed by slightly cutting the mat material (the one already fixed to the floor) on the raised portion under the seat.

@gilead : The stuff on the back of the mats that you were referring to as leather is actually automotive grade Latex & the carpet fibers are poly-propylene.

Here's the pics of the mat. Like Gemi said, there are two cuts on the raised portion below the driver's seat. There's a slot inside but I'm not sure the mat can be fixed to that without any accessory. Maybe it's a safety requirement in some markets.

this is exactly the same what I have got for Fiesta, in biege color. Why do you say that the quality is not good? Not able to see in early wearing signs from the pictures!

The holes are not at all required IMO..becos of anti-skid back and snug fitting.

Sanjay, did you see the picture in full resolution? You can clearly see the wear on the mat. And it's done only 3000 kms. Just compare the top/bottom and the centre portion.

The center portion is supposed to take the maximum amt of abuse and that's why it is thicker than the top/bottom portion.

Have you started seeing the fibres coming off? If yes, then it is a problem with quality.

@sanjay Your mats definitely are of a better quality. The threads started coming out already. The center thick portion isn't exactly the center if you are size 10 and above. That's the main problem with the mat.

Plastic clamps used to fix the mat.

@Joe: The clamps are provided with mat set. It is part of this accessory.

I see. The carpet floor mats (Set of 4) cost me 1065/- in Dec09..how much you had to pay?

In my prev car, I used to keep a 3M mat (kind of rubber door mats) - covering half of the area from the driver seat edge (appx 2.5x1.5 ft size). Have'nt got that for Fiesta yet, since those 3M ones are not avlbl in biege yet.

Something like this: Nomad Terra Loop
3M : India : Nomad Matting

@Sanjay the mats came as part of the essential pack that includes the mud flaps. They cost around 2000. I've used the 3M mats on my Alto. It's a good option because the monsoon will be here soon.

Added seat covers and rubber floor mats to my figo, the ford mats that come with the essential pack are no good.

I didn't get those clamps. Need to ask the dealer about it. Maybe they didn't know where to fix it

@Joe the rubber mats are from the dealer?

Hey guys, I am planning of buying the Figo Titanium diesel. I would be using it for city traffic (Mumbai) which is usually horrible. Can anyone tell me how much mileage I should expect? I would be driving abt 50-60 kms everyday...

I'm consistently getting above 16 but I don't have any bumper to bumper traffic here. The mileage will be similar to the Fiesta Diesel. I don't think it'll drop below 13 kmpl.
