Sheer Beauty!!

It is amazing a Beast can be so beautiful!!. absolutely stunning is the word for your car. Congrats!!

My SX4 MT (2008) too gives me 12.5 in city and 15.6-16 on highway. its a great car for indian roads, and is spacious too.

Also consider a reverse sensor and underbody paint as monsoon are just around the corner.

It is electrical sunroof. No concerns as of now. After fitting, there were few scratches on rim of it & after call to Sai Service Accessory contact, Webasto guy replaced rim with new one next day.

No leaking problem as of now. My car wash boy do pour water everyday on Car including Sunroof.

But real test of leaking, I need to wait till Monsoon

As per Websato person, electrical roofs are imported & manual ones are local & may have such issues. Not sure though...

Overall operations & experience of SunRoof are quite pleasant..

Did you have any concerns around the sunroof? Quality niggles? Leaking etc? What is the warranty offered by Webasto?

And congrats on your purchase! It looks great and really nice to see the accessories you have put on top

Thank Fornax . It was quite delayed from my side. So Y'day night, I was awake till 1 AM to fulfill commitment to you

I really love sunroofs, you can still visit Webasto dealers listed here : Webasto Sunroofs India, Car roofs Accessories, Company fitted sunroofs, webasto Motherson India

Glad you like it, We were upset after first sight of body kit. But it turned out to be good decision.

Regards,
Devendra

Regards the ICE, did you change only the speakers or the console as well? What's the difference in quality like, as I'm starting to get offended by the music quality being served inside my car!

I also enquired about the Sun-roof with Sai-Service, Borivali. They said it is no longer fitted by them, as they received many complaints about water-leaks - Mumbai rains are truly awesome. This is one accessory I'd guess that I need to wait for till my next car :(

The body kit looks amazing in black - it truly does - doesnt have the bulky feel of lighter shades.

12 kmpl in AT - now that's amazing value. I've managed 11.xx & 8.80 in the two measured runs I've had, with the latter being an outcome of incessant experimentation.

Also like the thought of tyre change @ 20K, doesnt sound very far away too.

Thanks Pradeep.

If you are looking to have comfortable driving, fantastic ground clearance, & with Maruti Suzuki's low maintenance SX4 AT is highly recommended...Its 100% value for money with improved mileage.

On safer side, you may consider 10 to 15 KMPL depending on traffic & road conditions. Best part of AT is you will get definite mileage irrespective of your driving skills

I have been thinking about an AT because of a left knee issue, but have been waiting for the elusive diesel hatchback with AT. I'm concerned about mileage and the increasing costs of petrol these days. The mileage you are getting is kind of encouraging me to look towards the SX4. I've been a happy Baleno owner and would want to stay with Suzukis. The impressive ground clearance of SX4 is another factor; I'm tired of my car bottoming out on bumps with 3 people on the rear seats.

The experts says deduct 10% from the ARAI figures to arrive at the exact city mileage for our kind of crawling traffic. That would put it around 10 in bumper to bumper traffic. Is my thinking correct?

Congrats again,

Pradeep

Sid,

I did research about roof & read Fornax comments as well. Being entrepreneur I am used to take risks, so went this one as well. No regrets as of date. I have become more popular amongst kids in family & neighborhood as well . Also its looks great as a spoiler.

Nice FE you got there.
Did you research about the cut-paste sunroof before taking the plunge? Especially as Fornax has info about them leaking etc.

P.S: bodykit looks great!

Thanks mrwalker.

As mentioned earlier, I purchased most of the stuff from Sai after doing research on specs & price with multiple accessories shop. So I got negotiated price on those shortlisted ones.

Also I did picked lot of cleaning stuff (Jopasu duster, Sonax cleaners/shampoo, etc) from Poona Motors Camp. I highly recommend this shop.

Best part of AT, mileage is constant irrespective of driving style . Except if you are crazy to overtake every single vehicle on your way..

Devendra

Congrats on the purchase especially with all the mods. A little more detail re which shops you picked up stuff from (other than that from Sai itself) would help.

12 kmpl in city with AT sounds terrific considering that I only get a little over 11 with MT in city.. Hmm change in driving style indicated?

Sorry Fornax, I missed ICE part. HU as is, Front: JBL GTO608C components & Rear JBL 265 Speakers. Result is great as compared to Maruti supplied setup. I may fit in JBL amplifier in future.

Quality difference is definitely 'n' times.

Regards,
Devendra

Fantastic buy and even more fantastic mileage for an automatic. After your review i am sure a lot of new sedan buyers would consider SX4. Did read a lot about SX4 improvised mileage.

Please upload more interior pics and if you dont mind, can you share the OTR details of the black beauty or rather the beast.

Enjoy your drive and happy motoring.

Thanks ambivalent_98.

Even I love driving like fellow BHPians , but they are instances when you want to relax & enjoy being driven.

MyCar Sales Executive Laxman was definitely nice person but people on top just don't value customer.

Sai Service TrueValue is not having good reputation. Even I don't very pleasant experience while trying to sell my WagonR with them.

Maruti's Service/customer orientation as a company is definitely better than any other auto company.

With your wife keen on driving...enjoy the luxury of being driven around. Though a core BHPian usually drives his wheels himself .

By the way during that time frame on of my friends was looking out for an SX4 and we had checked it out in MyCar. Lousy dealership for sure. They kept saying that SX4 is coming in a new design and we don't have stock. No commitment on the dates too. Finally he went to Sai Service and booked a Dzire.
I didn't have a very good experience with Sai Service when I sold my old Alto. They gave me a good price but they delayed the cheque by 4 days. It is it was tossed around to all their centres and finally ended up in the JM Road office. I promptly logged a complaint with the Maruti website and then I had like 3-4 calls from Sai and a couple of them from Delhi apologising for the delay etc.

Thanks SX4Lover. Your earliers posts did motivated me to go for SX4 over other options.

I have already fitted reverse sensors with rear view mirror option. Thanks for underbody paint suggestion; will get it done

Do you take any special care for Black color?

Hi Devendradesh,
Can you tell me the make, price and place from where you got the reverse sensors with rear view mirror option? The one I saw at a maruti dealer was being quoted at Rs. 15K.
Thanks

Well, Im glad i could help turn a prospective car buyer into an SX4 buyer.

I just get the car washed every week and dried with chamois leather. Will buy the car duster soon. take care not to pass over untarred road in high speed as small stones tend to fly and chip the paint.

I am thinking of going for car paint protection treatment from either opulent Opulent or 3M treatment by any of the car dealers in pune.
And yes!! i change the windshield wipers every monsoon. (OT)
