Yeah - the shake up is there in most diesel cars. In fact in the Innova and Qualis, I have been slapped in the palm by the gear knob when starting. No cause for concern.

It shakes for a very short period of time in multijet engines also.

  1. The Music System hanged when we attempted to pair it with the phone. Even switching the car on-off wouldn't reset it. DISAPPOINTED.
  2. I know a diesel car isn't the most silent place to be. But then, compared to the Fiesta TDCi, the NVH levels are definetly high. Some cost cutting there? Eg. The Fiesta TDCI doesn't shake at engine start-stop like the Figo.
  3. Dealers - There's a lot of scope for improvement. Why?
    1. They had no idea on how to reset the music system when it hanged. Actually they were more eager in handing over the car to the next person in queue.
    2. They didn't have display car's security code to check out the bluetooth connectivity.
    3. Asked for a Feedback book to record my experience. They were clueless. They don't have a feedback book.
I'm not too enthusiastic of the service centres now. Not that they are bad. But the increased volumes (In multiples with the Figo) would demand a lot from them and lets see if they face the challenge well.
A very pertinent point!! The dealer i went to for a TD ("Talera Ford") didnt have a clue on how to pair the phone and the music system.

Also, the auto volume control based on speeds simply wasnt enough!! Like you pointed out, the NVH levels are way more than what i experienced in a swift ddi for that matter. The made it clear from the 1st turn of the key that it was a DIESEL!

So you guys have now started comparing Figo with Fiesta which is almost twice the cost?? Is Figo that good? Mighty impressed, then!

Regarding bluetooth troubleshooting, I pity these poor sales rep..I have couple of experiences with Dell/HP so call technically qualified troubleshooters/engineers who find it hard when it comes to bt/wireless issues..what these sales rep guys can do, is anybody's guess?

Red looks awesome indeed. Very catchy color. I'm keeping it on top of my list.

I reckon that any Bluetooth problem could be solved by a firmware update to the HU.
A lot of people have to start complaining though before Ford calls up the OEM provider.

Bluetooth stacks are quite picky and you generally face the same problem when pairing a different brand headsets with a different brand phone.

Could you share some technical detail on how this works? Is this triggered using a brake pressure sensor or is it based on purely on speed.

It works on the basis of a deceleration sensor.

In a lay man's term, as soon as you press the brakes, the following steps take place

1) It checks if speed is above 96 kmph
2) If Yes, Then it starts to measure the negative change in speed per second
3) If it is found that the measured quantity is above a certain fixed pre-requisite, then hazard lights blink till the time braking occurs

First two steps here take place in a fraction of a second.

The typical sales pitch is 'Figo is a Fiesta without a boot and costs 2.5L less', so it might be appropriate to point out the differences.

Fog lamps pair costing 3000 is not HIGH? for the price sensitive Hatch segment? Why this essential safety feature stripped on Top end Zxi/titanium?

Alloys is it a set of 5 wheels at 16000?

I think the prices are reasonable. Is it possible to fit those alloys in Fiesta wheels? I believe the tyre profiles are the same for both Figo and Fiesta.

alloys are 4 wheels

Pricing : I am not too sure about the price but this is the maximum that these two accessories will cost
