re: Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

@ DevilsCry: Nice n Hot Figo pics posted by you. For simple clothes/design; I meant a stock figo. Cars in the pics are shod with up-sized wheels, sporty alloys and killer decal jobs. Though IMO the rear spoiler and the bonnet lip in the 1st two pics look out of place.

I have to say that few right mods transforms a decent old school family hatch to a hot mean urban beast!

@Jayded - There is a chance that Anil's issue may be one off case. But it is necessary to get fixed immediately (even if it re-occurs once).

They are tubeless tyres, quite low profile. 205/40 17" tyres. Needless to say, don't get them fitted on your Figo. The Figo in pics are European ones, having 1.4L petrol engine and still drags a lot with those tyres on.

The figo in those pics are from south africa. It is being modded and sold by one of the tuning dept run by the ford dealership for an extra premium. The best part is that the dealership is also giving you warranty for all these mods. it's called the novel sport limited edition or something like that.

Hey everyone, got the Titanium's deluxe floor console installed in my Figo today. Costed me 2.8K & I must say that this little piece of plastic does make a noticeable difference in the way the interiors look.

I am not sure about why I had heard that this thing cannot be fitted to Figos. In fact, somebody at another outlet of Harpreet Ford had said so himself. So, if anyone is planning to get it done then ask your nearest dealership now.

Can you give me more details? Which dealer you got this fitted? 2.8K total cost or labor extra.

Hey mate,

I got it fitted at Harpreet Ford in Delhi. This was the total cost I paid. Moreover, it's not a tough job except if you have a gear lock installed, in which case, the installer would have to carefully cut out a part of this plastic console.

Also note that the existing art-leather cover of the hand brake would be rendered useless since the deluxe floor console has one attached to it.

@blackfire_9: did you have to remove the existing console to make was for the deluxe one? The main reason I wanted one is so rear passengers have a place to keep things.

Actually, no. It was only a small section of the existing console that's removed. It's hard to explain, but let me dig up some ZXI's interior pics on the internet & mark that area which is removed.

The reason I wanted the console was primarily for the looks & for my habit of dropping things under the handbrake (out of habit to keep things like cellphone in some other cars where there is provision for storage under handbrake) which would then end up below the driver or co-passenger seats.

What this event allows is for the dealership to provide you with a long list of items that possibly needs to be replaced on your car which will run them a big service repair bill. The actual time spent to do the 30 or 50 point check is less than 10mins. Even the cleaning job is usually shoddy at the end of it.

re: Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

Hi all,

Here are some pictures of the console for ready reference.

Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)-p1040794.jpg

Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)-p1040797.jpg

Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)-p1040799.jpg

Notice the screw in the last picture. There is a similar screw on the other side as well. To fix this screw, the installer has to install a metal contraption by drilling a small hole in the floor & screwing it there. Then, this console is fitted on top of that metal contraption, just the way it is in Titanium.
