re: Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

My Figo Titanium Diesel crossed 20K mark this week, going for the first paid service at Lathangi Ford, Bangalore tomorrow ! When I spoke to the service adviser, he told the approximate cost would be in the range of 2.5 K...In fact I was expecting more than this, would like to her from others who have done the first paid service at 20K.

Wow, thats cheap. Lucky you. Just did my Swift VDi 20k servicing yesterday, and got a bill of approx Rs.5700/-

Thats really expensive considering I did'nt do anything apart from the regular servicing. Seems to me that Ford is really cheap. Does this cover all the oil/coolant/fluid changes, labour charges, taxes etc...?

I paid Rs. 3800.00 for my 20k servicing. Based on the discussions in this thread it shouldnot cost you more than 4k in any case, 2.5k would be great though

Lalvaz - I really don't believe the cost will be in that range, I will know it only tomorrow when they give the bill to me :-). Adviser told engine oil change, filter change, wheel balancing and such regular stuff will be included in this service. I was expecting in the range of 4K and if it is less than that, then very good !

re: Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

Hi
I got my figo's 20000 kms service done at Cochin yesterday. Bill amount came to Rs 4200/- including wheel alignment and balancing. Also included ac filter replacement. The labour alone came up to Rs 1960/-. So the figure quoted to Revy is a bargain, if true.

Also, has anyone taken delivery of the car within the last 3 months, if so could you please post photo of headlamps in Bright and Dim. Read it in a post that the headlamps reflector has been upgraded to provide a beter and efficient lighting than the current one.

make sure you get the brake/clutch fluid changed as per the manual.
SAs at Lathangi do not usually do this at the 20k service. Happened to me and have heard the same from atleast 3 other people.

My friend bought Ford Figo Titanium TDCI last week. It has USB cable provided in the glowbox. But shows USB ERROR when we tried to play USB files. Any one got the same issue? . The same USB drives working fine in my Pioneer HU.

I guess it has something to do with how the drive is formatted----FAT32 generally works when compared to NTFS (or is it NFTS) .

By the way, how does a usb drive fit onto a usb cable? Isn't there a socket for the jump drive to be slotted into?

Hi Vnabhi,

Yes, They provided USB port cable in the glovebox compartment. And yes, it is FAT32 system only.

I faced an issue in which my 1 GB USB was not getting detected, later I put a 2 GB Transcend USB drive, it got detected and is playing well for past 4 months. No issues at all. Check the file format or try using another USB.

I think the USB drive supports upto 4 GB, anything greater might not work, has any one tried that out a 8GB USB ?

Thanks tj123,

We've tried all the options (2GB Transcend,4GB HP Drive and 8GB Drive), none worked for (same USB ERROR). All of them working fine in my Pioneer HU

8 GB pen drives dont work on my figo's HU.
However 2GB and 4GBs work and I put higher quality music files (384kbps instead of 128kbps) and the result is amazing. The music just comes alive. I was told by my friend who has interest in ICE that if I can add tweeter then the music will be more clear. Planning to add that in a few months.

Jebs, looks like your unit has a problem, get it checked.
