Obviously wont going to give 1200 just for USB Cable.
So made the DIY Cable. PinOut Diagram is given on last page of manual book.
Cost
USB Cable - 70 Rs.
Connector Pins ( used from Old fried SMPS) - 0 Rs.

PIN Color Function
1 White Data +

2 Black Ground

4 Red +5V

6 Green Data -

Make Sure you Insulate all 4 Pins with good insulation. I used Anchor Electrical Tape. it is important that Pins do not touch each other. and connectors on HU is very nearby from each other.

Awesome DIY mod. How well is it working? Did you see any degradation in the sound quality? I am asking this because I got myself a Aux-in cable and the sound quality was not up to the mark, I guess it depends on the quality of the cable. I don't think this will void any warranty, am I right?

its been working fine. Folder Reading and Track Reading Works fine. and it plays the music from last where you have stopped. No degradation in sound quality in fact better tahn Aux In.
well this will not void warranty since i haven't cut car's any electrical wiring.

Currently I am using my phone's bluetooth to play music, which is working very well. I should also make the DIY cable. Thanks for the idea.

re: Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

After 28100 kms, I finally got a DTE of 854 for a full tank. This is with 25% town and 75% highway. Also 50% of this is high speed and 50% is relaxed. tDCi rules.

Congrats on those figures!!

In 20900 KM the highest I got is 780. My last 3 tankfuls showed in range of 750 for city driving. Hope to see the same on mine too

You did not mention the a/c usage though!

Awesome FE figures there! How did the DTE numbers compare to the tankfill method in the Figo?

They are almost accurate at least in my case.

With 45 liters as tank capacity 750 would transpire to about 16.7 kmpl, while I get in range of 17-18, so not bad.

My DTE figures steadily climbed from 650 in the Initial days to 750 now.

Amazing DTE figures. Hope it includes atleast 50% of AC. Also a bit of satisfaction that all things are working fine .

My reasoning is that my drive to office that used to take 40 mins is taking me close to an hour, similarly the drive back has become longer with more of 1st or 2nd gear driving. Its all city driving conditions with AC in 2nd speed during morning and 1 during evenings. I could also see the DTE dropping during every fuel fill from 624 to 540. I am due for servicing in another 1500kms. Anything else that i need to do?
My Figo eco fell to 13.xx kmpl, its purely due to added stress, Life is rediculously bad on ORR here, My avg speed is less than 20kmph most of the days. It takes 90 mins to cover 21 kms. One drive on highway, the avg was back to 20kmpl.

Am even ready to freelance as labourer if it can speed up all the flyover+pipeline work.

My FE has been between 14 and 16 for the first 3000km. I was filling up at one very highly regarded pump in HYD, but now have shifted to another one - the FE is inching up (from the past experience and present DTE numbers, looks like this time it should cross 17)

I drive almost exclusively on some of the worst and congested roads in HYD only about 25km/day - about 12km morning and evening.

the reason for the perceived improvement in FE can also be (1) lesser usage of AC nowadays (2) Telangana movement - lesser and better traffic (3) My timings recently - past lunch to work, past dinner from work to back home

BTW has anybody used 2T oil or system-D consistently on their Figo. Can you share your experiences so far?

2T oil is not at all recommended, These days it is not at all necessary to indulge in adding such things.

Get the injectors cleaned at timely intervals and you will do just fine.

I know it is not recommended. I also know that it is recommended by many. It is not my intention to start that war over here - there are separate threads for that.

My question is specifically for Figo - if anybody has used it can you share your experiences?

I don't think it is a question for war, but something to do with the common rail system. There are anyway no wars, just discussions on TBHP
