re: Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

Despite trying multiple times, I can't pair my phone SAMSUNG TOUCHWIZ with the music system. No wonder calls go unanswered and I have earnt a bad-name.

I am trying to pen a short report after the first service and wording it up, the reason I am not clicking any pictures is because I just can't look at my Car w/o alloys

What error are you getting? Or, is the phone itself not detected? Did you try pairing some other phone to diagnose whether the problem is with the phone or the car?

My phone isn't getting detected. Though at the showroom a sales guy was playing audio via phone. I believe that too was a Samsung phone.

re: Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

Similar but different problem with my HTC Diamond 2 (WM 6.1), I am unable to receive and make calls through the head unit, and also unable o transfer my contacts to HU. My other phone, a Blackberry 8100 worked perfectly and the phone was able to transfer the contacts too. Seems like BB are the most compatible phones. Music playback works fine with both.

re: Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

In my case, Sony Ericsson and iPhone paired without any problem. But my Android phone had a setting in which there's a "timeout" for Bluetooth pairing, and it was set to 1 minute by default. So I had to try a few times before it paired. Also, discovery is set to OFF by default even when bluetooth is turned on. Hope this helps..

One thing happened yesterday, I would like to share: When I switched on the music system it seemed to be frozen on a phone call. The display was showing the name of the person who last called me when I was using the car the previous day. There was no current phone call. None of the buttons worked, and switching off my phone's bluetooh didn't help either. It was kinda embarassing because a passenger wanted to listen to music. I just tried long-pressing the call button, and it workded! It just said "Rejecting call" and kicked the system out of the frozen state. Just thought of sharing, in case it happens to anyone else.
I've faced this as well
just try calling someone, and its back to normal again!

Shouldn't it be the other way around i.e it should scrape only when we take it with speed, right?

Not just on the bumps, even on bad roads, the drive is more comfortable at higher speeds than it is at lower speeds. For example on a really bad road if I do 20-30 I will feel each and every undulation, but when I do 35-45 the car seems to be floating on the craters!! I guess something to do with the suspension system!

^Thank you for this. The pricing is very reasonable.
Q: Does "Leather Vinyl seat covers" mean Leather seat covers? Or does it mean artificial leather seat covers?

re: Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

Thanks for sharing that Brix, I am waiting for the dealer to get the Scuff Plates and Boot Rubber Mats. Completed my first 1000 km of the Figo TDCi Titanium with 90% local travel, 15% on AC (Chandigarh) with moderate speeds (30 - 65km/Hr mostly, 90 km/Hr max for roughly 10% distance) giving me a mileage of 18.3 km/L.

re: Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

The price list that Brix posted says Front fog lamp kit Rs. 2990.00. I checked at Planet Ford, Pune. They are telling the price as Rs. 4500.00 from day one (back in June 2010). Does that mean the extra Rs. 1510.00 is the labour charge? Isn't that too much? Has anyone from outside Pune added front fog lamps?

re: Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

^ I remember someone else quoting Rs. 4500 for the fog lamps earlier. Since the price listed in the file is much lesser, I thought maybe they have revised it.

In this case, all the prices mentioned in the file would be way off from reality?
However, the USB cable price is more or less what people have reported here.

Check with Talera ford also. South City Ford in Noida has it for 3K plus a very small labor charge.
