Sad. But why did they do this? Why can't they just touch up exterior scratches. IMHO, it is worse to make dealer dismantle and reassemble the whole interiors.

Its was not just scratch most of the panel were dented too[front bonnet is getting replaced], and for doing that they have to open the panels, plus touch up was not possible they have to paint it inside out, the complete vehicle has to be painted no other option. To do this they have to remove each and every thing, else the interior get spoiled!!!

I hope every thing get in right place and this ordeal ends here, its been long 8 weeks!!

It is good that they are taking care of all the damage I hope the paint is under warranty. I feel sorry for your ordeal but then hopefully you will get it back as good as new.

I hope they learn their lessons and put better hose and hose clips and also test the new versions more before launch in difficult terrines.

Just finished reading this thread (quickly). Really enjoyed those pics. Sorry to hear about the tavera and Leh incident.

1. How much did you finally pay for that tavera brush up accident ?
2. How much is the bill now after the AT transmisison change ???

Not a good feeling to see the vehicle stripped off, but as you said this was the only way to take care of other dents.

3 days is a justified time I guess, hope dealer fits in everything back firmly so that the vehicle feels new.

Update: My Scorpio is back, its raining here and already too late in night to really judge the paint job, but overall it looks ok!
All the cost and every thing was taken care by Mahindra and I hope everything works and stay as expected from now onward. Will update this with images later tomorrow.

Good to hear this, I am sure the car is in good shape.

Must be an amazing feeling to have the car back. I can relate this as I also got my car today thought mine was just after one week.

PS: I told them to paint the bumper and cladding to body color instead of dual color, and they agreed. I believe it looks better at least to me in same color.

Pramod- You are right, it looks much nicer in a single colour.
Hopefully M&M will use your experience for R&D on their couplings.

Congrats on getting your car back Pramod. Hope all the niggles have been sorted out and will not resurface again. Continue to enjoy your experience.

PS: A few clear pictures would help to check the paint job though.

Its raining in Nagpur since Saturday evening, was not able check the complete vehicle in bright sunlight, now the vehicle need a wash before I can reinspect the paint and other thing, over all its "OK" but I believe the thickness of the paint is on lower side and any minute scratch will expose the metal!
have just driven 50 kms after getting it back, yet to ascertain if everything is in proper place or not.

NOTE: I am not sure if I kept the Music System remote with myself while handing over or was it with the vehicle, bottom line its missing, do anyone know from where I can get the remote or any other remote will work with it? if any one having spare remote do let me know.

If its the OEM HU then you should be able to get the remote from mahindra. Or you can get it from Kenwood directly.

Its OEM HU, have already asked service center to let me know when I can get the remote, but generally it take lots of time to get not so common parts. Will try to look at Kenwood dealer for the remote.
