Probably you are right - heart says Fiesta Mind says - lets take some more TD. Actually short listed are Fiesta, SX4, Linea and Manza. Hope to close this by this week end.
Yes the service center would be able to do it. I had confirmed this with MPL ford service and i have asked them not to enable this option as i do not want it to autolock.

Now I want to test and see if the front bonnet will open when the car is moving. The bonnet lever is on the passenger side, so what if your kid fiddles around with that lever ?

shaj, the front bonnet will release if it's lever on the front passenger side is pulled on because that is a manual system unlike the electric boot open button on the drive side of the dash.

it only opens to an extent, a person would have to walk up to the bonnet, pull the piece of the plastic handle sticking out of the front grill to release it completely.

Great thread! Its good to have all the information in one place. Great initiative!

I have heard/read about the access to the boot from the passenger cabin in the Fiesta! Is there anyone who has checked this feature! Sadly, its not available in the 1.6S and I am unable to check it myself!

Thanks raamki, I was thinking in the same line, because you get a manual opening feel when you pull that lever.

Now what else is left to check on a fiesta ? Anybody has tested what speed each gear can attain without blowing the engine off the bay ? That would be an interesting test. Following is my impression so far (please remember its not a company recommended gear/speed ratio);

1st gear: Upto 40 kmph (at 40 you might feel the engine will blow up)
2nd gear: Upto 80 kmph (Here you get a flight take-off effect)
3rd gear: Upto 120 kmph (best gear for highway overtaking)
4th gear: Upto 140 kmph
5th gear: To the max on the dial
Reverse: Upto 40 kmph (Dont attempt this by any chance)

Yes it is available in EXI/ZXI/SXI as passenger seat is foldable (but not as 40 : 60 split seats).

I want more chrome for SXI

Chrome OVRM with turn indicators are the most hatted part of Fiesta SXI, IMO Ford should replace them with Body Coloured OVRM with turn indicators and can add more chrome at followings:

1.) Chrome door handle: Gives a totally different upper class to any car.

2.) Windows sides chrome molding: See pic. for its look.

3.) Chrome finish exhaust finish: Already available in 1.6 S, not sure if its available as an accessory and can be fitted to other versions.

PS.: All these chrome finish looks best on black colour.

Pic is taken from following post of an Black ANHC,

Check Ford Australia website

The website look is same as India site but listed with 2011 Fiesta Model. You can also able to see "Sky Grey" color which recently they introduced in India.

I wonder post ZXI leather limited version it will cross the SXI numbers as well.
+

Remind you that most of the ZXi's are only on name(variant) sake, but upgraded to all features like SXi or even better ..

When you raise upto 40kmph for 1st gear - dont you think the RPM will also shoot up, similarly 2nd gear upto 80kmph?

The MPL Ford price seems high, for example

Body moulding -7050 (whereas I paid only 5000)
Door scuff - 1750 ( I paid only 1250)

( I will give the price list of items, which I got it, seperately)

A pakka (pure) TBHPian will go for ZXI any day over SXI so that he will not have to look the Chromed OVRM and at the same time he has the freedom to choose the right accessories he wants for his beauty.

BTW, by any chance you are going give it a try to get some chrome door handle and chrome windows molding for your black beauty, as I marked in following thread...
