Dec09 ZXi Ex-Showoom Chennai is 5.88L and 5.93L with the sports value pack.

Guys, any idea what is Fiesta's ncap safety rating?

Normal Ex-showroom -6.48L
December - There was the 60+5+10 K off offer

BTW friends and family pricing is 5.75L. If anyone wants to book a fiesta please let me know so that I can get the F&F price for you. Around 15K should be wiped off. But this cannot be clubbed with anyother offer running at the dealer level.

@shajufx - Gimme sometime and I'll find the pricing for the spoiler

shaju, you may want to get in touch with Moonraker. He appears to have access to Ford genuine parts as well. Just make sure the spoiler does not have an LED at the back.

Fiesta Euro Safety Rating

Got this during google search...not sure how authoritative is this!

Car Articles India | Top 7 Safest Cars in India

Ford Fiesta gets a ranking of 5 for adult safety, 4 for child safety and 3 for pedestrian safety.

It is believed that nearly 400 crash simulations were done during the development of Fiesta. The car ensures a safe drive equipped with anti-lock brakes (ABS), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), and dual airbags. Dual airbags help to reduce the impact of crash force by distributing them evenly across the passenger's body. In India, low-speed frontal impact is a common feature and therefore the Fiesta is tested to ensure safety from this type of impact. It is found that the passenger compartment is not much affected by the impact and ensures good protection for both the driver and the passenger. The bumper of the car is so well designed that it scores good points for protecting the pedestrians.

It was 5 stars in 2008 if I am not mistaken. No idea about 2009.

EDIT: Take a look at this. It looks like there were 6 airbags though. http://www.euroncap.com/tests/ford_fiesta_2008/333.aspx

@sanjayC- Good piece of information.
So only Fiesata and H.Accord got the rating of 5.
And other majors like DEzire,SX4,Verna,Linea and Manza is not scored within the first
7 cars - So probably their NCAP may be less than 3 star?

Some more tidbits of info here Ford Fiesta - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

My delivery update: Went to do PDI yday 16th - 22 KM on the ODO - paid the balance amount - car was supposed to go for regn today 17th but due to morning heavy rain, it will be done tommorow - 18th. Got the insurance policy from New India as well. Finalised and paid advance for the accessories. Have put on hold Sunfilm/Paint Protection etc because of bad weather conditions (I was told sunfilm will take 7-10 days to dry in normal weather - in rains, it may take upto 2 weeks..same for paint protection, which anyway I am not very keen to do..please advise)

Need some more help: Since the veh will be regd tomm 18th Fri, dealer is saying number plate will be avlbl only by Monday (since RTO will issue the number on Sat). However, if I want, I can take the delivery tomm abd they will come and fix the regd number plate on Monday. Is it possible to drive without number plate for 2-3 days???
I definetely want to take the delivery tomm since it is supposed to be a good day - further cannot risk the vehicle lying at dealer's place for 2-3 extra days.

Will post the entire experience after taking delivery - over the weekend perhaps - meanwhile, pls find the initial snaps.
