I don't think there is anything wrong with the pendrive. I use it on my PC regularly. It works just fine. The car reads the files on my Transcend USB Mp3 player flawlessly though. That also has an 8GB memory.

How is your folder structure. I've noticed that if you have a lot of sub folders the HU struggles to read it. Either takes a lot of time, or it says reading error.
Can you try putting all the songs on the root itself?

I've tried that already. I've even tried putting just 2 songs in the entire pendrive without any folders. I've tried quick formatting, long formatting and everything!

I got Sandisk Cruzer Switch16GB Pen Drive (Black & Red) and its working on my i20. I was searching for a pendrive which will work on my i20 music system form last 6 months. Now the search is ended and i dont understand why the other ones were not working. But trust me i tried all the things including bit rate formatting and so on and other ones did not work. THIS PENDRIVE IS WORKING and i am very happy. Its available on Flipkart "http://www.flipkart.com/sandisk-cruzer-switch16gb-pen-drive/p/itmd3vfe8tcdq4uz?pid=ACCD3VYMG6UHSG3H"

Hey Wildon, my bro recently picked up the All new I-gen I20 Sportz and he has not had an issue with any Pen drive.

Wonder if there was a problem with only some or few I20's !!

Hi All,

Need some help. I have a 2 year old Petrol i20 Asta just completed 20,000kms. Im really not happy with the engine performance and would like some advice. Is it advisable to install a cold intake and upgrade to a k&n filter? Would appreciate if there are any other options that someone could advise me with. Thanks

You can try a k&n stock replacement filter! (no major mods needed)

Coswoth makes a cold air intake kit for i20

Thanks for the info, Ive found a Cosworth dealer in Mumbai, he's asking for 8000 for the same. However I just found out that Cosworth has shut down their operations in India, so not to sure if I want to go with them. I've discovered a company called N1 Performance in Mumbai, will be talking to them tommorrow to see what they suggest.

Hey Wildon! Can you tell me how to open the passenger side ORVM in the i20?

I have been wanting to modify my side view mirrors! Any secure way to get the triangular plastic (which are on the insides of the doors) off without damaging their tabs! (in order to remove the mirrors from the doors)

And can I access their motor and gear housing inside the assembly?

Thanks

Re: Feels like i'm 20 now - Hyundai i20 Asta 1.2

Hi all,

I have a 2010 Hyundai I20 sportz with 15000km on the odo. I have a strange problem with its steering wheel and I think it has not been discussed before.

The steering wheel works fine during normal driving but sometimes when I have to make fast end-to-end steering turns, for example, while getting in/out of tight parking spots or making fast 3-point turns, the steering wheel becomes very hard. It’s like it loses all the power assist. It then becomes normal after a minute or so on driving straight.

It has happened only a few times and does not happen always. When I went to the Hyundai A.S.S., I was not able to reproduce the problem and they brushed me aside saying it’s a normal thing.
The steering wheel does make the infamous rattles over pot-holes and a ‘bush/yoke plug’ was also installed by the Hyundai A.S.S. in Jan’11.

Has anyone else faced a similar issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ps: sorry Wildon sir for hijacking your thread

Cheers
RG.

I face something quite similar, Steering weighs up a little bit extra during parking when i have to turn the steering from end - end. Is that actually a point of concern??

Actually it's not little bit, mine gets really very hard as if there is no power assist. Also, i haven't seen this with other cars that i have driven.
