FINALLY someone uploads a pic of the key. It's one of the things I really love about the i20.

Hi Wildon,

Congratulation for your i20 purchase (bit late as I joined this forum recently). I also got i20 Asta and really very happy with the car. Have done real two long trips, one Mumbai to Noida and another Noida to Amritsar and return, it was completely pleasant drive.

Hi Thanks and welcome to T-Bhp.

Well i'm yet to take my car on highways. My second full tank shows up a mileage of 11.5 (Bangalore City Roads, Full time AC). My Odo crossed 750+. What was the mileage you got on your Highway drive?

Wow, you've been out and about! Your trip deserves a thread.

Thanks Wildon. Although I have not checked mileage very precisely but roughly I got 17, I just wanted to enjoy my drive. I will be taking up another long drive Noida to Mumbai (on 1st October), probably I will check with little more precision.

Thanks Flyingspur. Yes, I am planning to have thread, wherein I elaborate my experience of the car so far as well as of those long trips.

1st Serive @ 1359 K.M

I have just given my car for the 1st Free Service today. Till now i have completed 1359 K.m.

Just came back after a 600 K.M run on highways prior to this. Bangalore - Chikmagalur- Mudigere - Bangalore. Filled up Shell Normal from here and while coming back Filled IOC Premium at Hassan.

The trip meter shown at that time was 403 K.M and Tank filled was 33L i.e 12.21.

Enjoyed the drive with my car as i'm taken her for the first time on highways. Speed/RPM maintained was 100Km/h /2-3 k

Wildon, I'm getting a lower quote from Bajaj Allianz as well. A good 5k less than what HMP is quoting me i.e. about 12.5k from BA as against 17.5k from HMP (they claim they have a tie-up with BA as well, and this is their quote!). Have you read the T&C's carefully? Is there something we're missing, or is this the norm that dealers overcharge for insurance. I'm tempted to go with the BA offer.

Hello people,
how to find out the month of manufacturing for i20?My Silver color i20 Asta has reached the dealer yesterday and I am going for PDI today.VIN number will only have the Year of manufacturing info? How to know the month?

While booking the car,I had been to the dealer's yard to check various color options and while there noted that cars there had the White sticker on the rear windows with the VIN number and below it had D09(Followed by engine number). What does this mean?

I am already 20!

Congrats on your new ride! Looks smashing on the inside.

I would reserve judgment about how reasonable applying CRs on the sides is.
I went with RE-35s on the sides and back, a CR-70 for the front for my Punto day before yesterday. Completed the purchase in 10k.

The price quoted for all CRs looks reasonable, but do think over the requirement before going in for all CRs.

The performance difference between 3M and V-Kool is not enough to warrant the hike in price unless you mine diamonds.

Do put up pics with the films on and congrats again!

I have spoken to Trident yesterday and they offered me 9.5k (still i can bargain) for Front wind shield CR-70 and CS-70 for sides. I wonder whether the CS-70 do exist?

There is nothing called CS70 from 3M.
Check out this link.

Never heard of CS 70!

The RE-35 should serve you well enough I think. Do check out how dark a tint you can have in your city. Cops in Chd. rip off even the slightest tint!
