Re: Scoop shots: Honda Jazz Facelift in India

nice scoop sid. any more details regarding the features/price/variants?

I only see a front bumper and headlights change and I like the new bumper. Are there any other external changes? Looks like a very subtle facelift.

Add to that, new sharpish headlights I guess. But it will still not sell considering the price. Honda HAS to bring the price down otherwise it will not sell.

Re: Scoop shots: Honda Jazz Facelift in India

Not a drastic change, just minor cosmetic touches to keep with the times

As someone pointed out, the headlights seem a bit sharper, but hard to make out in the pic, it could also be camoflauge

Re: Scoop shots: Honda Jazz Facelift in India

Is Honda competing to get the "maximum variant / facelift in shortest time" award?? Am just not able to make sense out of their acts. The basic issue with this car is low equipment levels / high price. Without addressing these issues, whats the point in keep coming with facelifts !

Also fellow bhpians, please let me understand...for all facelifts [bumpers / headlights and all], doesn't the cost go higher? I mean the ROI takes more time to break even right?

If they use the same parts, since the mold is already available, the cost of manufacturing will be less in the long run there by letting the car manufacture reduce the price - if they wish so?

Re: Scoop shots: Honda Jazz Facelift in India

Huh???
I see almost no change.

Also, yes, the Jazz does have low equipment levels for a high price, but if you consider the massive interior space, overall practicality, ease of ownership etc., the Jazz isn't that bad a buy. Depends on one's usage i guess.

Re: Scoop shots: Honda Jazz Facelift in India

The Jazz looks good as it is, it does not require a facelift it just requires much better pricing to go off the shelf. (1L price drop would be a good start).

They can compensate existing buyers with free additional extended warranty, alloys, spoilers, reverse camera, reverse sensors, leather seat updates so that none feel bad about it.

Nice scoop Sid, but Honda needs to think out of the box for the Jazz to get it moving, this won't work.

The Fiesta Hatch is also likely to come and spoil this present exclusivity that Jazz has at a better price point with more in hand.

re: Review: 2nd-gen Honda Jazz

Honda Jazz was a non-seller at 8+, where the AT will land. Makes for an excellent buy but a bad business decision.

+1. Headlights are camouflaged with tape.

Re: Scoop shots: Honda Jazz Facelift in India

is it me or the front bumpers seem to look dented from both sides?? I know it is a part of a sharper design but seriously??
I donot think Honda would revise their prices. All they would do is add fog lights, maybe alloys too and sell this somewhere near the Jazz X price point.

This is how the car should look like after the facelift. Pics of Japanese fit from Honda japan site.

Re: Scoop shots: Honda Jazz Facelift in India

Mild facelift, not a major change in platform I think?

I hope the facelifted Jazz comes with a more comprehensive equipment list, with none of those irritating omissions - please Honda, take a leaf out of the i20.

Lower pricing on the cards? If I remember correctly, there was a news article and a thread here about Honda's new sourcing strategy aimed at reducing cost of components.

Re: Scoop shots: Honda Jazz Facelift in India

With this facelift, if Honda brings in the automatic variant at the current price then it'd be a great car for the money. Right now i20 is the only premium hatch that offers AT but at a steep 8+ lakhs.

Errr ... the Jazz costs about the same, I think?

Apart from cost, just looked up facelifted Jazz reviews. They talk about a new platform, with a longer wheelbase and even more interior room and flexibility

And the boot is even more spacious with some sort of partitioning mechanism and parcel tray!

Re: Scoop shots: Honda Jazz Facelift in India

Facelift for the Jazz won't help.
I have a Jazz Select Edition (May 2010 model).

A 1.5 liter engine, with an automatic option and a price reduction of at least a lakh on road would definitely help in boosting the sales.

Regards
Ravi.
