WOW!!! The wooden panel looks nice. The silver colour of the audio though sticks out like a sore thumb. Can anything be done about it? Maybe a similar looking sticker might work out.

Yes you are right. That particular part is attached to the audio unit and not detachable. This involves dipping the part in some chemical and then getting this finish. Hence, they refused to take up that part. Actually I searched for similar sticker but not available in this colour and texture.

The panels look good with good finish but if you ask me I think it is not gelling well with the surrounding black plastics. Would have looked better on the whole if the surrounding plastics had some lighter color. Purely my view though.

I also have been planning to do something on similar lines in my linea. But my first priority is to hide the black plastic pieces by doing something like pasting leather over them similar to to high ultra luxury cars like Bentley or Porsche. May be I am asking for a bit too much . I had approached Marvin leather in Bangalore for this but they advised me against doing this as the leather would come off after some time. So not sure at the moment how to proceed.

Could you please share more info on the paneling job like other color options available, where it was done and the time & cost involved.

Nice finish to the parts. Gives a luxurious look. Nice mod Jaisha.

Nice mod, although personally I would've preferred a slightly darker tone for the wood finish.

Where did you get it done?

Thanks UKR, Nutnbolts & Starrysky. This is the lightest shade they had. I compared with a dark shade (Pine/Walnut) but as the most of the plastic parts are black, they advised me to go for this lighter shade. Sorry dont remember the name of this shade. The leather covering over the plastic would truly give a rich feel like the luxury cars but if we try to cover the leather it will peel off after some time and look ugly.
I got it done at ORCHIS, Vikroli Mumbai. They are truly professionals in this and seat making. I had been to Mumbai for a week during this Onam holidays and removed all the required parts from my Linea and took it along with me. They finished the job is 4 days and returned to me.

Personally, I feel that the pseudo wooden panels doesn't blend well with the interior tones of your car. (Especially the areas near the HU). It would've looked much better if the HU had similar tones.Any day, I will prefer the original interior tones of the Fiat Linea.

Btw, How many kms have you crunched so far with your Fiat Linea? How do you feel after owning Fiat Linea for a year or so?

PS: No offence meant.

Drive her safe. Have Fun

I have done 8600 kms so far and the drive is good so far. I just did my 2nd service yesterday and every one from the Fiat showroom (Sales & Service section) came to see the interiors and commended on the new look. They also took pictures of the same to do like wise in some other cars as some customers were enquiring about wooden dash for Linea. Again it is the personal choices of individual owners and likes and dislikes differ from person to person, isnt it?

Agree with aks. The design is such that you can put it on metal portion. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...ml#post1968254

Dear fellow Linea owners, I would appreciate your honest advise for the below.

My Linea is 1-1/2 years old now and run 9500 kms only so far. But when the service was due (15000 kms or 12 months) I was abroad at work place and completely forgot about it. As nobody drives a car in my house, they also didnt notice it. Even I never got any mail or service reminder from my agent RF Motors, Ernakulam regarding car due for 2nd service.
This time when I was home (after almost 4 months of service due date), I was casually going through the Service book and to my shock I noticed the 15000 kms or 12 months. The very next day, I booked my car for service at Hyson (Trichur). After consulting the CRM at Hyson he advised my warranty is ceased as it is already 4 months due. So I had to go for a paid 2nd service and they tried to convince me that only the labour is free and all other consumbles is chargeable.
Please advise, if I should take up this matter with FIAT. I am also responsible for this but when at work place there is no time to think about family, leave alone cars..

Typically they can work out if the running is more than 15000 but they can not play with date. Its been 4 months since the service date then I dont think, they can help you much.
