Re: Swift Dzire 6 months, 6,000 kms, post 2nd service update

Hi TOR and all the other Dzire owners,

I own a swift Dzire Vxi which has done around 23k kilometers and running on stock tyres. However, I want to change the tyres now. My main requirements are More road grip and a better ride quality and better ability to ride over bad roads. Any suggestions?

@GT500 - i would advise against opening up the complicated MJD engine so early on.If there are no issue defer the clean.

@DeKay-two options which i think are the best.

-Michelin XM1+ 185/70/14
-Yoko A drives -same size.

Am due for a change myself the XM1+'s on my car have served very well these 45K kms.

Re: Swift Dzire 6 months, 6,000 kms, post 2nd service update

Guys a sudden job change means that i am putting up my beauty for sale !
Swift Dzire 6 months, 6,000 kms, post 2nd service update-dzire.jpg
She has run 53000kms and got a change of shoes as planned in december. Details here.

Final Comments:

-the Hero Honda ad 'Fill it, Shut it, Forget it' kind of summarizes the car !

-rear visibility needs to improve and so does fit and finish.

-superbly fuel efficient

-self cancelling indicators needs some more delay.

-inadequate factory horn

-pathetic OEM tyres.

-hello turbo !

I have listed on the classified(shall add link) and hope someone really passionate about cars can pick her up.

Still running extended warranty, the car is in very good condition and i can be a bit flexible on pricing.

GTO chose my car's picture for the 'Official Team-BHP review of the Dzire'.So she lives on here, thanks GTO&TBHP.

Re: Swift Dzire 6 months, 6,000 kms, post 2nd service update

Dzire VXi, ~ 6000 kms, 8 months, 2nd service done

Had a strange issue this morning while starting up. Not sure if the engine started but something was revving with a strange muted sound and weird vibration. It was not the usual starter sound on low battery. This happened on the first two attempts - The third attempt succeeded. The car was parked away for 3 days - It was the long Holi weekend. Has anyone had such as experience? Is the battery (its just 8 mo.) or something else?

Best Regards,
Dhruba
