Yes Harry. Trying all that I can to get the car tomorrow itself.Dont want to delay it even if the dealer is ready to wait. With a Swift you cannot take chances.Until the car lands in my home, I am restless.

Hi all,

Could not get the loan on time, so could not register the car. Got the DD at 11:30AM and by 12PM the RTO had closed as it was a Saturday

It was a really tiresome day with more than 150Kms covered in bike, going from home - >office - > Bank -> dealership -> bank ->dealership -> office -> home.

Reached home only at night as I had to work late to compensate for being out of office with the car related paper works , and that is why got delayed to post.

However I saw my beast. Went to the dealership yard and took the photos of my Beast. Sharing it with you all

Yes it was love at first sight. The moment I saw this car I told the person who assisted me, that this would be my car,even without seeing the ABS sticker. As expected this was the one. I checked the Engine number and confirmed that.

I wanted to get the car on Temp Registration. But my parents wanted to take the car only after checking with the astrologer. The Astrologer said that Thursday is the correct day . What to do, now the impatience is much more than what I was feeling 2months ago. So till Thursday I have to satisfy myself by looking at the photos, while my Beast lies on the yard waiting for me to come and take it home. It has an Alto and Swift for company and the Alto having a crush on my Beast to the extent of kissing it.Hope the lipstick does not make an impression on my Beast

@white_vdi: Sorry could not join you with a White VDI. But so what now I have become Red_VDI_ABS. I was forced to give up on ABS and had settled for VDI without ABS. That is when Ankit came and changed the whole story

@sudipt123: Yes I got my Beast only because of the friends from Team-BHP. The boredom of the 4 months was expelled by the friends in Team-BHP. Finally the car itself was delivered thanks to the strategy provided by those friends.

@jazzy_2cool: Taking the Beast home is another story. I was planning to take the car without my parents , with the help of my friends. Simply because my parents would not like the idea of changing the tires. I dont blame them as they dont know anything about the need to have grip, nor do they know how poor the JK Vectra is. Also they may think that any repair on the first day itself is bad omen. So wish that they be at home and after bringing it home, can let them have all the fun. They are also too excited as this is the first car that they can call it theirs. So they would be sitting in , exploring , turning on the lights etc. Just like how I would be doing. Then I have to tame the Beast

thursday is considered to be a good day to buy vehicles,your astrologer is right,even i had got my dzire on thursday.i know it because me and my dad are generally discussing these things.
raj the black swift standing next to your car is the one which you were getting before the red one?its a diesel model,but dont know whether it has abs.
also doesnt vdi has stereo in it,the dzire has it.and everything is same as i can see from pics.
get the car soon man....just cant wait to see the complete pics.also check the wheelcaps,the black one doesnt have them.

ps:is this place dealership`s yard or a ground/parking lot.i can see a a lot of new cars parked here.

@ankit.jhamb - No the Black one was not booked by me earlier. I did not opt for black as it does not highlight the fact that the car has got fog lamps.And such important designs are not highlighted by the black colour.The design aspects of the Swift take a back seat with the black colour. Only a good set of Alloys can make it look good(no offences, my opinion only).

Unfortunately you dont get Stereo on Swift VDI. Yes the dzire has it. Wonder why Maruti is doing this differentiation.

The Wheel caps are fitted later. I have seen Swifts being unloaded from trucks and none of them have Wheel caps. They are fitted separately.

The pictures that I have posted are from the dealership yard. Full of Altos. I could see only two Swifts and 1 Dzire. Maybe because those cars were on the front row. I could not see beyond that as so many cars being parked creates a confusion in your vision

Yes you can expect a visual treat from me as I will be uploading lots of photos of my Beast once it comes home.
