Re: My 2025 Lexus TX 350 Review | Nightfall Mica | Full-size 3-row SUV

Not bad for a 2.4l Turbo to move this behemoth. Speaks to the advancements in engine tech and turbo charging. I am guessing this engine has Direct and Fuel Injection?

The 5000 mile service interval to me sounds like Toyota taking the usual conservative approach. Not a bad thing for a Turbo motor. Besides, for a market where cars generally clock high miles, it feels as though they've done this knowing some owners may actually bring the car in late. The low interval acts as a sort of a pad or buffer.

The TX is a fine looking car. Looks like they took a low key approach to its design. Doesn't shout, I drive a Lexus.

Equally surprised that this is a proper Lexus. Not a badge swap of a Toyota.

Many have said this before and the more I think about, it does make sense. A high end Toyota/Lexus is more bang for the buck than a mid tier BMW, just cause you want to German badge. You get a far better equipped car that retains simplicity in its mechanicals and general build. Good for the long run and if you're someone who does not swap cars every few years.

Made for an entertaining Good Friday read. Thanks.
That Volvo is a fine looking car. Sad you had to pass it on.

Re: My 2025 Lexus TX 350 Review | Nightfall Mica | Full-size 3-row SUV

Congratulations on your purchase and your choice. In an earlier time I too picked a Lexus over the Volvo S90 - I respect and own both brands so know them intimately. For a change a Lexus that actually looks handsome and does not resemble a humpbacked angler fish from the deep sea. :-)

That SUV looks handsome and in USA practical. Good selection over the Mercedes GLS 450 - that car would have been a maintenance hassle. Lexus's trouble free performance and engineering reliability is well worth it. Wish you many happy miles.

Below the humpbacked angler fish, the inspiration behind Lexus's grill. :-)
