10k for leather steering wrap is expensive, I bought mine from Amazon, good quality & finish, meaty to hold, anti-slip and looks great.

I had to return 4 steering covers on Amazon before I got this. They show something nice on the portal and deliver crap.

Brand: waqif nappa leather car steering cover.

Looks like it is not available now, it shows another type on the same link:
https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B0D...e?ie=UTF8&th=1

I found similar one in another brand, check this out:

Are you based out of Bengaluru ? If yes, for the stitched steering cover Call Devraj on 9901539349. He is on JC Road. He is good at his work, You shall find him or his Brother Nagaraj. They offer you getting other things done too from 'Their Friends' stores, that I would not suggest. They are good at steering. Just get that done.

Congrats and wish you many miles with the new car.

I own a 11yr old duster 85ps and is planning an upgrade. I see that you have moved from Terrano 85ps to Duster AMT to Hycross. How would you compare the performance and ride quality of Terrano 85 and hycross petrol on highways and ghats? Duster 85 is very easy to drive on ghats and city roads due to negligible turbo lag but lacks outright power/acceleration when fully loaded on express ways.

Thank you DieselLover, I have driven ~50k kms on 85ps Terrano (manual) and ~50k kms on 110ps Duster (AMT) on all kinds of roads / ghats.

85ps Terrano was breathless on highways after certain speed and made city driving tough due to manual shift (imagine in Bengaluru traffic).

I would rate performance and ride quality of Hycross much better and plusher, you will feel fresh even after long journeys (even for elderly people), it could be excellent NVH control, calmer cabin due to petrol engine, chilled air-conditioning and light steering. It is indeed an upgrade to Terrano/Duster in all aspects. City drives of Hycross could be a challenge due to size, my city usage is very limited.

Re: Our Toyota Innova Hycross GX (Option) 2.0L Petrol CVT in Blackish Ageha

Here is an update on the city economy of GX(O):

I got an opportunity to drive to office continuously for 4 days from Bengaluru south through HSR layout, Outer Ring Road till close to Brookfield and return through a slightly different route.

Start time ~6:30am and return time ~3:00pm (except one day).
Approximate distance covered per day 45kms.
Only return trip was with AC.

Couldn't be happier with this result at Bengaluru city

Thanks. The Duster 85 does feel strained after 100kmph on highways with full load. The engine noise is also very high at these speeds. However, I like its performance in the mountains as the lag is minimum and it pulls clean. I hope the CVT in Highcross give decent performance in ghat roads with 6 adults

Those are some excellent fuel efficiency numbers achieved by you. Full AC usage might have dropped it by 1 kmpl, but still amazing considering the heft of vehicle.

I haven't tried Hycross on hills with full load, however, it did behave satisfactorily in ghats with only two onboard, I will keep you posted when try with full load.

Thanks hummer. I booked Invicto alpha plus today as the waiting period quoted for hycross gxo is ridiculous (12-18 months)
Invicto alpha plus is cheaper than VXo and vehicle is readily available for delivery by next week.

Congratulations DieselLover, 12-18 months it too much to wait, roads are full of Hycrosses, so Invicto would be exclusive but same Toyota heart inside, great choice !!

Re: Our Toyota Innova Hycross GX (Option) 2.0L Petrol CVT in Blackish Ageha

We did a one day trip to Mysore with 6 onboard, cruised effortlessly through BLR-MYS expressway.

Chamundi hills climb was a cakewalk, AC was always on, didn't have any issues uphill, curves and even overtaking was a breeze. It won't rush on pressing the pedal like a turbo petrol, but you should tame yourself to accelerate gradually and learn to be a relaxed driver.

Return journey too was comfortable, with lights on and bit of rainy stretches.
