Re: A Maruti loyalist's first 5* Maruti - Prassy's 2025 Maruti Dzire 1.2L ZXI MT

Congratulations on your new machine. This is probably the most handsome one from Maruti's current line up. A carbon fiber wrap around the infotainment screen might make it look more sporty!

Congratulations and very well put up review. Wishing you loads of happy miles.

Could not resist but arent the new cars delivered with HSRP number plates? I see Dzire with non HSRP and also the Storme! Little curious to know the reason

Congratulations Prasanna and well chosen.
The new DZire has been capturing my attention since recently drove a low run 4 cylinder of a friend and the peace in the cabin was impressive over bad roads and same seat covers. So I am assured that the new DZire's real world usage will be easy to capture since you have one now, like the Altroz

Have fun

Awesome review Prasanna, thanks for sharing!

Wishing you miles of safe drives with the Dzire.

Brings back memories of my Dzire that I owned for 14.5 years from Jan 2009 thru Jun 2023.

Thanks Prasanna for the great blog and sharing your experience as an owner. I somehow hate Maruti cars for their weird noices from dashboard after 20k km and have always attributed them to the the choice of a "Utility-focused driver".

I pretty much have the same state as yours, we always had one Maruti in our stable of 5 cars in last 35 years, and probably 3 times it was Maruti 800, which kept coming back till 2000s.

Maruti knows the Indian customers really well. I have always seen Maruti engines, especially petrol ones, to be at par with Honda and Toyota, somehow I believe that the R&D is common, it's just the tagging which is different

Coming to the recent moves that Maruti did, like launching Fronx when they already had Baleno topping the sales chart, tell us what Maruti Research team knows which most of the automotive companies don't. In the Era when Honda failed with their launch of Cross Over named "WRV" and Toyota also faced the same fate for their "Etios Cross", everyone thought Fronx would also have the same future. Guess What! Maruti surprised everyone

Waiting for long-term review too.

I also own a WRV and can agree to all the niggles of an NA 1.2 Engine, but Honda's engines are rev happy and I love taking my iVtech on hills, being in Delhi, and enjoying the plush and smooth ride, even if it comes at a higher RPMs, the 4 cylinder engine shows it edge there.

Wishing you all the great miles.

Re: A Maruti loyalist's first 5* Maruti - Prassy's 2025 Maruti Dzire 1.2L ZXI MT

Congratulations for the new ride.

We decided to part with our 18+ year old WagonR due to re-registration uncertainties etc. The dilemma was whether to go with the new WagonR or take a sub 4m sedan and later decided to go with Dzire after seeing the facelift. We finally booked the red Zxi MT in January.

At the time of booking, it was informed that 'sir the waiting period is ~6 weeks' and we were kind of okay with that. However, now we follow up with the dealer every week just to know the waiting period and getting the same reply as 'will inform if there is an update!' with no foreseeable ETA. Not clear why they cannot even provide a potential delivery date. Looks this is the same case with Amaze now with long and unknown waiting period.

Congratulations and wishing you a happy, safe and trouble-free ownership. This white-black combo looks super.

Lovely review and some very nice pics there.

Dzire has evolved slowly from an odd looking car (firs generation) to a very good looking + 5* rated car. It might have taken some time but kudos to Maruti for improvising the design over the years and for waking up and giving importance to the saftety rating too.

This car looks good, spacious and VFM.

Congratulations for the purchase. New Dzire is really a superb package. MSIL seemed to have struck gold with their Z12 motor and Dzire's desirable styling. And also, I have to admit that this is one excellent ownership article you have written. One of the best articles on team bhp I've ever read, can't get more detailed than this. Hats off to your effort!

As usual awesome review. Are you going to do anything about the center armrest? I don't understand why Arena cars lack this feature while Nexa ones get it.

Congrats on your new ride and thanks for the crisp and to-the-point ownership report .

May I know which app is this (looks like Fuelio) ?
