Re: Maruti-Suzuki Ignis Alpha AMT Review - 2nd innings with a Maruti-Suzuki!

Hi Folks,
How does the halogen bulbs in Zeta variant match with the projectors in Alpha variant.
Im planning to upgrade for my Ignis. The car shop guy is quoting 40K for the maruti genuine projector head lights.
Is the upgrade worth the cost?

Suggest avoid the Alpha's OEM head-lamps, but instead go for LED's in the current head lamps.

40k is pretty much the price for those. LED's will be a cheaper alternative, and what I have done.

40k is extremely steep. For a perspective, it's 5% of the car's on-road cost.
As suggested by @condor, after market upgrades might be a better bet along with you having so many more options.

I'd like to just share to you that the K12M engine is indeed a VVT engine.

Adding Maruti Suzuki Page/Link for reference. Its a pretty old engine which used to come on most of the 1.2L engines of of Maruti Suzuki before K12N was launched.
K12N has Dual VVT along with Dual injectors.

Thanks for correcting! Remembering that I've read that before and totally forgot about that.

How does Ignis AMT perform on Slopes and Steep Gradients? Does it struggle with 3 occupants? Do we have to switch to Manual mode or does Auto mode itself will work in such situations?
