@shan_ned Thanks for writing this review. I am glad to meet a fellow Unix follower, practicing the philosophy in the world outside computers, just like what I do myself.

Around Sept 2024, I started looking for a simple, manual transmission, petrol, no-nonsense, "do one thing and do it well" small SUV. I had eliminated all other brands/cars and reached Elevate MT based on my criteria. Then to my delight I found your review.

There are of course other reviews for Elevate on Team-BHP, which helped in general for technical details, but your review felt as if you wrote it specifically for me. It was immensely helpful to cross-check my thinking.

I ended up buying Elevate ZX MT-R Lunar Silver in Nov 2024 and I have been enjoying driving it around.

I am long time read-only user of Team-BHP. I created an account a few days ago just to write this feedback. Thanks again for your review!

PS: A nit bothering me: Would it be possible for you to fix the spelling of Dennis Ritchie in your post?

Very happy to know that this thread helped you in your decision making process.

A very good car for souls who like to lead a very simple/uncomplicated life

Congratulations for your new Elevate and best wishes !!! Certainly a car without any drama. The more you drive, you will be in love with the car. The ride quality, steering response and the engine smoothness will give us so much satisfaction and happiness.

And thanks a lot for correcting me on the spelling error. No excuse for messing up the spelling of a great legend’s name. Unfortunately I cannot edit it now. If any moderator happens to see this post and there is a possibility to edit the post, I request them to correct the spelling error in the very first post of this thread (from “Denis Ritche” to “Dennis Ritchie”)
