Thanks for the excellent review. Here is mine. Received a few months back, is a daily driver now.

As for the tpms, you can click the mini icon on the left and click tyre pressure to get a live view of pressures.

HTH.

It is indeed an indescribable feeling to own a car that you’ve dreamed of for a long time. Mini Meets are indeed fun - a veritable Sea of Minis!

Yes, RunFlats are a real PAIN. I had a bad experience with RunFlats in France 6 years ago. (In a rental Mini Cooper Convertible F57).

The Best tyres by far, for our Indian Operating conditions are Tubeless Tyres. Of the large array of Tubeless Tyres available, Michelin PS4 are the creme de la creme!

Several things in common between us.
Mini Cooper - although mine is a 13 year old R56 Cooper S, which I deeply cherish.

Lovely to read about your Father-Son moments too - I enjoy very similar moments with my 82 year old Dad. We are fortunate we have this time and must make the most of it.

Re: Mini Cooper S Review | Dream a little dream

Thanks for sharing this excellent review!

Overall, I am not a big fan of modern cars or Retro looking cars. But the Modern Mini stands out from the crowd in a very positive way.

People complain its nothing like the original Mini. Well, buy an original Mini and compare. The cornering on the original and the current one is phenomenal. You don't need brakes on a Mini because you never need to slow down for a corner, you just flick the steering wheel. Everything else on the current Mini is a hundred times better than on the original ones. Yes, they handled extremely well, but have you ever driven an original Mini over some potholes or speed bumps? You better live next to a chiropractor, because the ride of the original Mini is extremely harsh. On the motorway bring some hearing protectors. The list goes on. Of course, if you appreciate classic cars the Mini has deserved its place in history.

Owning and driving classic cars is a very different experience all together. One might enjoy it, but modern cars are always better in just about every aspect, other than the emotional perspective. Which is hugely important of course.

I have had several original Mini’s over the years. I am currently enjoying a 2010 Mini One. Lovely little car. Its my daily drive!

If I were to buy a new car I would seriously consider the Mini Cooper. I might even go for the electric version!
