My opinions about the SX4 after sitting in it for a longer duration of time.
  • Aux Input on dash
  • Illumnated Key Ring a Nice Touch
  • The Tires look huge
  • Rear Legroom is adequate, underthigh support is better then average
  • Seating at arm rest position is kind of high, not a good thing.
  • The ORVM adjustable knob is like a joystick, nice to play around similar like a Octavia.
  • Audio Controls on Steering a Nice Touch.
  • Tweeters Mounted on the doors.
  • Boot is nice and biggest in class.
  • Could do better with reduction in GC.
  • Azure Grey looks awesome on the car and so does Copper & White (While post pics)
  • Lack of Climate Control Display Shocking
  • Loads of room in the hood to accomodate a TC, Filters and what not. Maybe due to the fact its designed to take a 2.0L engine in the first place.
  • 1.6 JTD 120bhp in the near future
  • Orange illumination looks nice.
  • Temporary Registration cars have MH06 number upfront and MH43 behind, lol.
Rally Swift anyone?

Folks, does that illuminated key ring ever help ?

I for one never had an issue in finding the keyhole in the nights.

busa,

is there anyway the height difference in the center of the rear seat can be corrected? like razing off a little bit of seat foam or something like that? so that the existing seat itself is made comfy for the third guy? and are there professionals who know how to do this well?

Geek It cant be corrected easily. When you go for seat covers then you can raise the height of the side two seats to come to the same level as the middle one.

Instead, take the arm rest out. Get someone to fabricate a custom arm rest that aligns with the rest of the seat.

gemi

its a well known fact that the sx4/sedici is a joint creation of suzuki and fiat if you did not know already! fiat sells it as the sedici 4x4, while suzuki sells it as sx4 here (since its not a 4x4 in strict terms). also fiat has the suv/hatchback version, while maruti has the sedan here first.

have a look at busa's post here for more

busa

this is one area where i m learning to be patient. and this is the same area where i wish this forum allowed bad words. i hate maruti for this fiasco. this is certainly not the way to treat customers who pay 8 lacs for a luxury car. i ve decided to wait for the same colour. as per indications, i will not get it until june 1st. i have to check the delivery schedule for june for bimal to see if they have allotted a sunlight copper. if they havent, then i have to make some seriously tough decisions (even if that means taking back my money from them and maybe going to honda ??) - i know its the most difficult choice to make, but then the delivery delay is getting on my nerves for the second time with maruti. and my patience is wearing thin. :(

@ Geek - This is really sad to hear. You had booked the car even before the launch so you should get a proirity release. Its sad that Maruti and their dealers are not well versed how to deal with customers who are spending 8Lac plus on a car. I doubt MUL will be able to sell any car higher then this.

Imo whether its 8 lakhs or 4 lakhs,..you still are paying and expect something decent for that amount.Just coz someone spends more, doesnt mean he or she gets better service..
