I would not personally under-inflate tyres on highways. Especially if one is driving spiritedly (90-100 or more) and without long breaks in between. Under-inflated tyre will have more contact with the road and temperature can go up.

If you have bad roads in city or when going off-roading, you can underinflate tyre as the speeds will be much lower.

7) Absolutely no driver or passenger fatigue in 3-3.5 hour drive.

I tried both 95 octane and normal unleaded with recommended tyre air pressure.
The acceleration burst when needed is perfect with 95 octane and it takes 1-2 sec more with unleaded (you can feel the delay between pedal press & acceleration).

Decided that I am going to stick with 95 octane as much as possible ...
.
The VW wipers seem unsuited to our conditions. More or less everyone has faced issue with them, more so , the 2020 model owners, given the cars were in the stockyard for months. Try Bosch Aerotwins if available on boodmo. I have tried Blaupunkt ones. They also seem fine.

Your observation about 95 octane is interesting. I have been using Shell normal / power and also XP95 , but I have not particularly noticed such a difference.

Firstly, apologies for the incorrect braking spelling

Secondly, I agree with you on roads/speed - tyre pressure correlation.
However our roads / highways are off road quality 365 days long - we still manage 80-100 in short bursts when we can. Hence the thought of keeping a point lower. Also decided to go for nitrogen to see the temperature difference if any. Earlier the tyres would be hot at the end of 3.5-4hr / 200km trip to nashik. Will be able to figure out the difference once the govt decides to improve the roads (currently the trip to nashik is 6-8hrs)

I am surprised at the finer details even the reputed brands miss on.

Did you change front & back or only the front set? Any size recommendation? I made a mistake of trusting bosch size on new wagon R & realised they were smaller.

Wold want to avoid that folly.

I have tried power and it was the same as unleaded. The IOCL 95 octane definitely seems better.

Only front ones are available. Replaced the rear one from VW, as it was not available elsewhere.

retrofits are quite expensive for what you get, especially here.

adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection; standard in europe, cost around 130k each for the 2021 t-roc.

electric tailgate's a 150k retrofit here. dynamic chassis control, a £1,065 option in the uk, a 400k retrofit here.

navigations systems, standard in the uk, if i recall correctly, around 50k retrofit here.

What size of Front Wipers? What was the aprox cost for your Blaupunkts?

Mine are making a horrid rubbing noise irrespective of the amount of water present. Will point it out in the 1st service due by end of the month.

I don't think I will waste my time trying to get the clock working. Although I have now seen that the clock resets when I get an audio error message saying some error occurred. My cockpit is showing oil service in the next 20 days and I will check with the service center again for the error message.
Meanwhile, can we get wireless CarPlay/Charger in T-Roc 2020 model (manufactured date is 2019)?

Re: Volkswagen T-Roc : Ownership Review

Hello, fellow BHP-ians. I'm looking to pick up a second hand 2020 T-Roc that has done about 35k kms, looks well maintained and has a full service history. Is there anything I should look out for, and what would be a fair price for this car? The asking price for the T-roc is 16.8L.

Can you please check the software update log ? Long press "Menu" button and you will option to see update / history.

For me the clock reset issue has not happened since the mentioned update elsewhere in this thread.

Reasonable price IMO. There is not much to like about in VW lineup today ( may be only Tiguan) and a T-Roc would be a good buy.
Very few owners maintain the service record well, excepting BHPians :-)

You should look at the service history. I came across a similar T-roc and the seller was quoting around 17L at that time. Even though the seller was claiming that the T-roc hadn't been involved in any accidents. By looking at the service history from the VW SVC, I found out that it had been repainted, one of the headlights had been replaced, and the wheelhouse had also been replaced. So, the accident wasn't minor. To cover all this up, the seller had mentioned that only the vanity mirror is broken and he didn't get time to replace it. The duplicate key was also missing I guess, I don't remember.

If you're referring to the exact vehicle, then I'd recommend avoiding it. At the end of the day, it's your call.

I think you're referring to the same car. It's a Blue 2020 T-Roc with only a single key and damage to the vanity mirror. and here I thought I found a good deal.
